Fall Floral Blouse

floral blouse and green jeans outfit

It has been unseasonably cool here in the D.C. area the past few days. Very uncharacteristic for August, but I won’t complain! I spotted this fall floral blouse during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and loved the darker colors. This weekend’s weather presented the perfect opportunity to break out the fall colors for this summer to fall transitional look.

Fall Floral Blouse

As I mentioned, I loved this top when I saw it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I am always attracted to fall florals, but I also knew it would be perfect with these green jeans. You may remember when I styled these green jeans last month with a white lace cami (post here). They are a great pair of jeans to wear now as a transitional piece and into winter with sweaters and boots. As for the blouse, the colors are perfectly fall and the ruffles and bell sleeves are details that make this a fun top for the season. I ended up waiting to buy this top in store because I was a little concerned about the size. It is pretty short and I ended up sizing up to a large to make the length longer. I’m 5’8 and like my shirts a little longer, but if you are ok with a shorter style, I would say it runs true to size.

Neutral Accessoires

I always seem to gravitate towards neutral accessories during the fall. And I love that my bag and espadrilles are a perfect match for the beige color in the shirt. Although the weather was much cooler this weekend, I wanted to keep the look more transitional. Since it is a summer to fall transitional look, I stuck with the espadrilles. But you could easily take this exact look into the fall with ankle booties.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Keeping all of those in Texas in my thoughts and prayers after Hurricane Harvey. Have a great start to the week and see you back here tomorrow for an all new food post! Thanks for reading, friends.

  1. I have to say – I’m pretty excited in the dip we’ve seen in temps! I’m ready for some darker colors 🙂 Love the dark floral and makes me want to wear my dark floral print blouse! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  2. I normally don’t think of floral as being very fall-ish, but I think that the darker color really does make it perfect for the season. Also your green jeans pair perfectly with it too! I hope the cooler weather hangs out for a while for you!

  3. I am all heart eye emoji over these ruffle sleeves on that floral top! I really like the length and the colors in the floral are really pretty.

  4. It’s been the same here in CT! It was in the low 60s last night, which is definitely odd for this time of year. I remember when we moved her last year around this time, it was SO unbelievably hot. Anyway, I love this fall outfit you’ve put together. The top looks great paired with the green jeans!
