Faux Fur Stole

Is there any better combination for winter than faux fur and over the knee boots? And a faux fur stole that can go from jackets to cardigans to sweaters is the ultimate in faux fur pieces.

Faux Fur Stole: Sole Society, this color sold out but still available in black | Black Tee: BP. via Nordstrom | Black Cardigan: Halogen | Leggings: Zella | OTK Boots: Steve Madden {I went up 1/2 a size!} | Bag: Chanel, similar style under $300 HERE | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Lipstick: Kim KW

As you may know, I’m all about versatile, wear many ways kind of pieces and a faux fur stole is precisely this. I had planned on pairing the stole with a coat for the first time I wore it, but once I found THESE over the knee boots, I knew that I wanted to wear the two together. And all black would be the perfect way to let these two statement pieces shine.

Speaking of THESE boots, I ordered them a half size up because, frankly, they didn’t have my size! I thought I would take a chance and figured regardless, I could wear a thicker sock if I needed to. Amazingly enough, the half size up was the perfect fit! These are a great replica for the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots, with the exception of the heel. I’m always drawn to a chunkier heel since they are typically more comfortable and these shoes are no exception! I will also say that I like the fit of these better than the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots {flat OTK boot, while the Highland have a heel} because I think it will be easier to tuck jeans into the Steve Madden version. Overall, a gorgeous boots at a fraction of the price! P.S. It’s also available in black 😉

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Do you have any fun plans? We thankfully don’t have much going on. It’s been a rough week in the McCarthy house: my husband was sick all last week, I got it the end of last week until the first of this week and Ella has been sick too! I think all three of us are looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. YOUR BLOG IS SO AMAZING! And you are a beautiful woman!

All your looks are simply fantastic! You are an inspiring and superbly elegant woman.

My name is Aline and I´m a Catholic fashion blogger from Rio Grande do Sul, the most Southern brazilian State, without the stereotypes that sell from Brazil to other countries. In Rio Grande do Sul, we not have "carnival, samba, hot weather, and tropica beaches". We have cold weather, snow, an Argentine and Uruguayan culture, the gaucho culture. Well, you can see Rio Grande do Sul is similar to Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Colorado, and South/Dixie/West in USA. Our gauchos are the US cowboys.

Wife and mother of 4 children. I'm a lawyer and teacher also.

As for this look, I can only say that you are divine! Yes, as you already know, I am a rural woman, who cultivates the elegance and sophistication typical of the countryside. So black pants (skinnies and leggings) are always in my heart. And mostly boots (of all kinds, including those OTKs that I both love and that you wear with such good taste).

I congratulate you on this post. You show that you are an incredibly elegant woman.

    God bless you!

  2. Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry you've been sick. I know it stinks. I literally just got a faux fur shroud in the mail yesterday to do a fashion re-create. Absolutely love this outfit and it just reminds me of coziness and is oh so chic! I hope you get some rest this weekend and that it's super cozy and sweet!

  4. I love the addition of the stole, it actually looks as though it's apart of your cardigan! It looks super soft and I'm sure keeps your neck warm, too! I also love the addition of those taupe boots, too! Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you all feel better and enjoy a relaxing weekend!
