Grey Bell Sleeve Sweater

cute faux leather jacket outfit

If fall is anything like this summer to fall transitioning time, my fall wardrobe is going to be pretty heavy on the sleeve show. Bell sleeves, statement sleeves, I can’t get enough! I spotted this grey bell sleeve sweater during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and knew it had to be mine. I mean, look at the sleeves!

Bell Sleeve Trend

I have always been a fan of the bell sleeve trend. But lately I have been adding quite a few statement sleeves to my closet. A few weeks ago, I styled the softest bell sleeve top in a similar way (minus the faux leather jacket). You can see that post here. What I love most about these statement sweaters or tops is that they are great basic pieces to wear a variety of ways. It’s ironic to call them “basic” when the details are anything but basic! And speaking of versatility, I love that you can add accessories to change up the entire look. Whether it is a statement necklace and sandals in late summer or a scarf and boots in the fall, the possibilities are endless. Speaking of this bell sleeve sweater in particular, I sized up so it would be a little longer. Even if you are not concerned with the length, I would recommend sizing up if you are in between sizes. I don’t often wear grey, but this lighter heather grey is really growing on me. The sweater is also available in blush pink, navy and deep red. And the best news, it was just marked down to $53!

Labor Day Weekend

Any fun long weekend plans? We are heading to Ohio to celebrate my husband’s birthday with his family and back to Virginia Monday morning. A week from today, I leave for New York for fashion week and I haven’t even thought about packing yet!

Lastly, on a more somber note, sending thoughts and prayers to those affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey. I was looking for a way to help out and found organizations that are accepting donations and wanted to share them with you. A few were shared on my Facebook page yesterday, including the American Red Cross and Houston Food Bank. But, I also wanted to share the Houston Humane Society where Ella made a donation. It’s also important to remember pets during tragedies too! The Houston Humane Society has created a wish list of high priority items that you can send directly to the shelter from Amazon’s website. You can view the list here. If there isn’t anything left, keep checking back. They are updating the list regularly!

Thanks so much for reading, friends. I will be back on Monday to share a few Labor Day Sales and a fun Back to School questionnaire with my fellow bloggers over on The Blended Blog. Be sure to stop by and have a wonderful holiday weekend!
