Must-Have Fall Dress Under $100

fall olive green dress outfit

A must-have fall dress under $100. Sounds too good to be true, right? I have been dreaming of this dress since I first spotted it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I wasn’t quick enough to add it to my shopping bag and it sold out. Needless to say I was devastated. It came back into stock, but was backordered. When Nordstrom gave the estimated shipping date of late October, it seemed like a lifetime away. Well, the dress I had been waiting for arrived last week and I couldn’t wait to wear it.

Must-Have Fall Dress Under $100

During the annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I was not only dreaming of this dress, but also cooler temperatures. I couldn’t wait to wear this dress with booties! It was a gorgeous Saturday in Northern Virginia and it gave me the chance to wear it. The lightweight fabric was perfect for the upper 60s, but my favorite dress detail is the crochet insets on the shoulders. Such a different detail that gives the dress the right amount of edge. I love olive green this time of the year and the fall floral pattern is the perfect print. An easy and casual dress, it really is a fall must-have!

As for sizing, Nordstrom recommended to size down if you were between sizes. It looked pretty short online, so I decided to stick with the medium for length. I am 5’8 for reference. And boy, am I glad I did! As you can see, the dress is pretty short (especially for me!). Given it’s shorter length, I decided to pair it with over the knee boots to give the appearance that it is longer. As the temperatures get cooler, I will probably pair it with leggings, too!

I hope you all had a great weekend! See you back here tomorrow for a special Halloween food post. Have a wonderful start to the week, friends!

  5. So glad you bought this dress. I can see why it’s a favorite and you look good in it. I can’t even tell it’s short! But I totally get you on shopping online and just kind of thinking should I stick to my normal size or follow what other’s are saying regarding sizing up or down. The joys of shopping right?! LOL
