Printed Mini Dress

animal print dress faux leather jacket

This dress checks all the boxes for me. High neck, cute ruffle details and a fun print. Last week I raved about this grey ruffle sleeve sweater and hinted about another find from that day. Well here it is! The cutest printed mini dress I have ever seen.

Printed Mini Dress

As I mentioned in last week’s post, I discovered this dress and the grey ruffle sleeve sweater as I was headed to the Target checkout line. Needless to say, the print was what attracted me to the dress first. It may not be leopard, but cheetah is a close second favorite of mine in the animal print category! I grabbed it, without even trying it on, and headed straight to the checkout line. As I was checking out, I was thinking, is this even going to fit? I obviously loved the print, the ruffles and the high neckline, but this wasn’t a “typical” dress for me. Well, the cut of the dress wasn’t typical. However, the print and details were too good to pass on…especially with it’s under $35 price tag!

When I got home, I was so anxious to try it on, hoping it would be the perfect fit. First, because I loved the dress and second because I didn’t want to have to return it and see something else to buy. #targetproblems Long story short, the dress was a perfect fit and wasn’t too short when paired with tights! I am wearing the medium for reference. Also available in black and white polka dot, this dress can be styled so many ways in both fall and winter. Although I decided on these ankle booties for a dressier look, you could also style the dress with flats or even over the knee boots! I added my go-to faux leather jacket to show how layers would work with it, but I love it sans jacket to show off the ruffles, too.

Have you had any luck in the clothing department at Target? I would love to hear about your finds! I hope you all have a great weekend! We are celebrating my 30th (!!!) birthday this weekend with my parents! Although my birthday isn’t until next Tuesday, we are celebrating this weekend with some historical tours around Virginia (history nerd here!) and of course a stop at a few of my favorite Virginia wineries. See you back here on Monday, friends!

  1. What a fun hemline on the dress and the print is just adorable on you!! I love pairing dresses with tights this time of year – very excited it’s tights season again! Except today when it’s supposed to be 70 degrees LOL! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  2. I’m loving this dress! I’m actually planning to head to Target this weekend, so I’ll have to check out the WWW collection! I love the way the cheetah print is done here. All the details make for a cute and trendy dress. I love the way you’ve dressed up more with the black tights, which is what I also do when I feel a dress or skirt is a bit shorter than I’d typically wear. Thanks for sharing, you look absolutely gorgeous! I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead!

  3. Leopard print everything! Love this dress and that it also has ruffles. This is a great all season dress since you can just skip the tights to wear it in warmer months. Great buy!
