It is safe to say that my love for statement sleeves runs pretty deep. I have shared quite a few statement sleeves this fall, and this purple ruffle sleeve top is the latest in my ever-growing collection. I wore this outfit two weekends ago to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and Kendra Gives Back event with Kendra Scott. Given the event, the outfit would not be complete without purple and a few Kendra Scott pieces.

Purple Ruffle Sleeve Top

I knew I wanted to find something purple to wear to fit the color scheme. But, I was having a difficult time finding anything appropriate for the weather. You may remember this purple ruffle sleeve sweater (from this post) I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which would have been perfect if the temperatures were about 40 degrees cooler! It was hot that Sunday, much hotter than I had anticipated when I ordered this top. Thankfully, the fabric was pretty thin and super airy so I didn’t melt. Full disclosure: I changed into a tank top for the actual walk!

The color of this top was perfect for the event and I love the fun sleeves as well. I picked this top up when it was on sale and unfortunately it is now sold out. The brand of this top is Hinge, one of my favorite Nordstrom brands. Hinge has cute styles at good prices and it’s hard to beat their soft fabrics! Since this particular top is sold out, I did link a purple top with fun sleeves above and here. This purple ruffle top is a great color for fall and it will be easy to style all season. I especially loved pairing it with my new favorite mules and gold Kendra Scott tassel necklace. A cute and casual fall outfit!

Walk to End Alzheimer’s x Kendra Gives Back

As I mentioned in a post prior to the event, the Alzheimer’s Association has held a special place in my heart since losing my grandmother to the disease in 2013. I heard about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s a few years ago and always wanted to walk in her memory. Unfortunately, the dates never worked out with my schedule and I was always out of town for the walk. This year, I was excited to participate in both the walk and help host a Kendra Gives Back event with Kendra Scott at Reston Town Center.

Kendra Gives Back is a wonderful in-store event hosted by Kendra Scott where 20% of the proceeds are donated back to the charity. It’s hard not to love a company that not only makes beautiful jewelry, but gives back to the community. I was so happy to partner with both Kendra Scott and the Alzheimer’s Association to raise money for a cause that is near and dear to my heart.

Any fun weekend plans? We are heading to Pittsburgh this weekend for the Steelers game! Having lived in Pittsburgh for 4 years, I always love going back to see friends, eat at our favorite restaurants and enjoy Steelers football.
