Boots with the Fur

cozy-winter-outfit-idea

When it comes to finding a comfortable outfit on a cold winter day, I can’t think of anything better than a cozy, oversized cardigan and UGG boots.

You might not be able to tell from the pictures, but it was a chilly and snowy weekend here in Northern Virginia. Although the snow was a Saturday morning and early afternoon event {and I don’t think we even got an inch} the cold temperatures continued through yesterday and it was about 20 degrees when we took these pictures. And that was without the windchill!

Needless to say, I was reaching for my warmest and coziest pieces all weekend long. I had this sweater on my wish list for a few months and I was so excited when I found it under the Christmas tree from my parents. I love oversized sweaters and this one is no exception. I can’t get over how warm it is!

And speaking of warm, although UGG boots get a bad reputation, these are probably the shoes I wear the most in the winter and rank pretty high on my list of favorite shoes. They are comfortable, super warm and are easy to throw on when running to the grocery store, errands or when I’m outside with Ella!

This is definitely my definition of a cozy weekend outfit. What is your ideal winter weekend look? Thanks for stopping by and have a great start to the week!

  2. I love my uggs! I don't have the ones that you have, but I have a black pair where you tie them in the front and you can see a little bit of the fur peaking through and I just love how warm they are!! They are a perfect winter shoe!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  4. Andddd now I have that song stuck in my head! That was my middle school jam so I am getting all the nostalgia right now. I used to have a pair of UGH boots and they were the best!

  5. First off, I LOVE your hair!!!!! This is such a cute, cozy outfit, perfect for the cold weather we've been experiencing. I don't own a pair of UGGS, though I do have a pair of Bear Paw that are quite similar. At first, I wasn't sold on them, but they eventually grew on me, especially after seeing more colors and styles! I eventually want to get a pair of burgundy ones, I saw this girl wearing them while walking around Brooklyn last winter and they looked SO cute! My ideal winter weekend look would be an oversized sweater, leggings, and boots. Thanks so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you have the best week ahead!

  6. I just saw a pair of Uggs with bows on the back and I think I might have to save for them! I love this comfy and warm outfit with the Uggs! Sometimes it is just so nice to wear something that is oversized, too!

  7. I broke out my furry boots this weekend too! My friend who lived in North Dakota for a while swore by her Ugg boots and I'm so glad that I got a pair for those few days that it gets cold in Texas. I really do love everything about this outfit, and I'm pretty sure that I looked pretty similar this weekend too!
