Today’s Wednesday/Thursday Wishes is bringing back a favorite of mine: splurge vs. save! As easy as it is to love the more expensive items, I love finding similar items at a more affordable price. And, I must say, I actually like a few of the save items more than the splurge! What about you?

I have loved this splurge skirt for a few months now. I definitely have an obsession with midi skirts and if you add a stripe, you literally have the perfect skirt for me! I was thrilled when I found this much more affordable version. Don’t they look super similar?! And how fabulous are these sunglasses?! The are so dramatic and chic, I think I like the save version better!

Happy Wednesday! I’m switching things up again this week, but there will be a fun Wednesday/Thursday Wishes for you tomorrow!

Summer is the perfect time of year to break out your brights, and with fall just around the corner {I’m sorry to say!} I figured it was now or never! This Arden Deals infinity scarf is the perfect scarf for summer: it’s lightweight and with super bright colors, it’s easy to pair it with almost anything in your closet. And with a price tag of under $10, it’s really something you can’t pass up!

Speaking of lightweight, this is one of my favorite summer sweaters from J.Crew — it’s breathable with the ideal texture for the warmer months. I love that it not only can be paired with jeans in the spring, but it works with shorts for hotter weather too! Lastly, a “summer bright” post wouldn’t be complete without my favorite bag for summer. As I mentioned last week, I have found SO many ways to wear it these past few months — not to mention it’s crossbody style is convenient for everyday use too!

Happy Monday, friends! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! It was super hot here in DC, with excessive heat warnings on Sunday and humidity that was absolutely out of control. I went to my first Pure Barre class on Saturday and let me tell you, it was such a great workout! I’m looking forward to going back later this week!

I don’t know about you, but by late July, early August, I find myself really thinking about fall clothes. Ironic, I know, since it was near 100 degrees yesterday! I blame this on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and all the cute fall clothes they tempt us with 😉 {P.S. What were your favorite items from this year’s sale?! Do share!}

Even though I won’t be able to incorporate fall pieces into my wardrobe for a few months, this tee is the perfect fall preview. Last year, I was completely obsessed with little details of faux leather, so as you can imagine, I’m loving these leather sleeves on this basic tee! I like to think of it as a simple black tee with party sleeves! And at only $16, it’s very budget friendly. One thing to keep in mind though: I would consider sizing up on this tee, I found that it ran a little small.

Happy Friday! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to the public, so today I am sharing my favorite picks from each category of the sale. I’ve already purchased a few of these items and cannot wait for them to arrive! Although, some things are still on my wish list, like this fabulous pink crossbody and the quilted coat. I don’t know about you, but I am beyond ready for fall after this sale!

Happy Thursday! Can you believe it’s almost the weekend?! These weeks are just flying by! I know I normally don’t post on Fridays, but to celebrate the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale’s opening to the public tomorrow, I will be sharing more of my picks so be sure to stay tuned 😉

I have to confess, I don’t wear pants much in the summer. I am definitely more about the skirts and dresses this time of the year because, let’s be honest, pants can be heavy and hot. The last time I wore these pants in the spring and I predicted that they were going to be a pant that could carry me throughout spring and into summer and I’m so glad I was right. They are so comfortable and made of the most silky fabric, it’s easy to be cool when wearing these even during the warmest months!

The perfect way to add “pop” to your black and white look is with this super fun neon bag. This has been my favorite bag of the spring and summer, and although it is sold out in this color, I’ve linked a few others that I love above. It’s amazing how easy it is to style this bag! I love the idea of adding pops of neon accessories to an outfit. It can easily transform a simple look into an eye-catching outfit! I’m sharing a few more of my favorite bright accessories below for some inspiration, so be sure to check those out too!

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I am sharing some summer outfit inspiration that could easily be worn during the day while running errands or even for date night! There is something about the “white on white” look that is just too perfect for words. And so appropriate for the summer! Or maybe I was watching too much Wimbledon last week 😉 Regardless, I am in love with this summer time look!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I was in summer cleaning mode over the weekend and it feels so great to have a super clean house! Today, I am wearing a light, fresh and cool look that is perfect for these warm summer days. There is something about a chambray shirt that I just love. Whether it’s fall, winter, spring or summer, there is always a new and fun way to wear this shirt. It truly is a shirt for all seasons!

My favorite sale of the year is finally here! Here are a few of my favorite items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I am adding to my wish list for fall. I don’t know about you, but this has me super excited for fall to arrive!

Happy Wednesday! We are already halfway through the week! I’m switching things up this week, but don’t worry, an all new Wednesday Wishes will be going live tomorrow. More on this change up later 🙂

Question for you: is cashmere in the summer a major fashion faux pas? Or is it perfectly acceptable, like white after Labor Day has become? For me, it’s totally acceptable as long as you wear it appropriately. Here in DC, the temperatures don’t drop much below the 80s on summer days, but this past weekend, we had some unseasonably cool air move in and let me tell you, it was so refreshing! I can’t say that I would suggest wearing this during the heat of a summer day, but I love this cashmere shawl for a nighttime accessory when you are out on the town for dinner. Wearing the cashmere with all white makes a typically fall or winter sweater ideal for summer. I am definitely looking forward to pairing this shawl with boots and scarves in the colder months, but I love that this versatile shawl can easily be worn all year round by styling it with the right pieces. This is my new go-to layering piece for cool summer evenings and beyond!
