My love for my initials goes deep. For as long as I can remember, I have always had monogrammed or initialed clothing, jewelry, bags…the list goes on. If you can put a monogram or an initial on it, there is a good chance I will love it. This monogram/initial love even goes as far as to me joking {well, let’s say semi-joking!} that I had to marry someone with a last name that began with “M” because I had way too many things that were monogrammed — thankfully that worked out 😉

Not only does monogramming or initialing give you the ultimate preppy and classic look, it also is the perfect way to make something your own. This Sloane leather cuff from Lisa Stewart Jewelry is the epitome of a classic bracelet. With the initial on an adjustable leather strap, it makes for a super versatile piece that can be worn by itself or stacked with other bracelets. This cuff is also available in chocolate brown leather and gold metal. What I love most about this cuff bracelet is that it can literally be worn with anything! It’s easy to dress it up, but it would also be perfect for an everyday bracelet!

Happy Wednesday! Today, I am combining my love for fashion and home decor for this week’s Wednesday Wishes. As we approach the official start to summer, it marks a great time for a home and closet refresher. And what is more refreshing than pops of metallic to spruce up your home and outfit!

This concrete and chrome coffee table is beyond amazing and it would serve as the coolest statement piece in a living room. I have also had my eye on a gold flatware set for sometime now; I think using gold flatware is the perfect way to mix up your tabletop for summer! And how great is this golden pillow cover?! These are definitely some of my favorite items that I am currently loving for our home.

I am always drawn to metallic when searching for home decor, but it is also a color I have been craving for my closet lately! I have loved these daisy wedges for a few months now, and now that they are finally on sale it makes them even more tempting! And these mosaic-print embroidered shorts are just so cute! I am looking forward to incorporating more metallic pieces into my wardrobe this summer — it seems like the perfect season to experiment with metallic!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! We spent the weekend back in Ohio celebrating my cousin’s high school graduation! She is the baby of the family so this was the final graduation ceremony at my alma mater! I cannot believe I was standing in her shoes 9 years ago — I feel so old!!

This is the last of the pictures I have from our time out in Napa and it’s what I wore for our anniversary dinner. I apologize that you have been seeing a lot of the denim jacket lately. It was much colder in Napa than I had anticipated and this jacket became a staple in my wardrobe for the mornings and evenings while we were there!

This lace dress was one of my favorite dresses last summer and I am looking forward to wearing it again this summer as well. It’s a great staple little white dress {LWD} that is basically the summer version of a little black dress {LBD}. At least I like to think so 🙂 A white dress can be worn so many different ways, and I love that for this occasion, I was able to dress it down with a denim jacket, but still keep the accessories fun with the hot pink pumps and clutch!

Happy Friday, friends! I know I don’t typically post on Fridays, but I’ve teamed up with Farfetch to bring you some style inspiration for those weekend getaway trips. And what better day to post about the weekend than on a Friday!

For those that aren’t familiar with Farfetch, it is a global community of over 300 fashion boutiques offering an inspiration shopping experience to fashion-forward customers. They are located anywhere from Paris to Milan to New York City, but are all united under one e-commerce website.

By this time of the year, it seems that a lot of people are anxiously awaiting, or at least planning, some kind of trip. Whether it’s for an extended period of time or for a quick weekend getaway, travel is definitely on our minds in the summer months. But with traveling comes packing and for me, it’s always a big production. I always struggle with finding something that is not only fitting for the activities planned but still looks cute! And making sure the luggage is under 50 pounds! Can anyone else relate to this?!

Now, for us in the United States, we would probably need a little more than a quick weekend getaway to travel to Istanbul or France, but not matter where you travel this summer, domestically or internationally, these are some fabulous tips on how to steal the looks from these fashion icons and pack the perfect clothes, whether you are traveling to the city, the beach or somewhere in between!

Needless to say, one of my favorite items for a stylish and chic getaway would be the YSL red shoulder bag. If you are headed to the beach, this pink swimsuit definitely needs to find room it your bag! Happy almost Friday! I can’t believe how quickly this week is going! Now that we are in June, it is definitely starting to feel like summer. We did have a few cool days with some rain this week {which was such a relief from the heat!} but the temperatures will start to climb back into the high 80s and 90s for the weekend and into next week here in DC. I’m not a huge fan of the heat and humidity, but I do love summer clothes!

You may remember Monday’s post about my favorite summer dress. Sundresses will probably always be at the top of my list for favorite summer clothes, but jumpsuits are coming in at a close second, especially this spring and summer. Jumpsuits {and rompers for that matter} are so easy to throw on whether you are going out to dinner or running errands. And they are even easier to accessorize!

This is my first printed jumpsuit and I am totally obsessed with it! I have been loving the mosaic trend throughout spring and now into summer and this print looks great on a jumpsuit. The bodice of the jumpsuit is gathered, which makes it super flattering and I just love the elastic at the waist and around the ankles. To top all of this, it has pockets. There is nothing I love more than a dress or jumpsuit that has pockets. This jumpsuit is simply the definition of comfort!

I went more casual with gold accessories for this look, but the first time I wore this cute jumpsuit was out to dinner in Napa with wedges for a more dressed up look. As a side note, we actually shot pictures that night and lost this set of photos and two others we took while in Napa! I was devastated. All I could think of was that we would never be able to recreate the gorgeous backgrounds of Napa! Honestly, I like this casual version better I think. It might not be the gorgeous Napa scenery, but at least this jumpsuit can be the star 🙂

Happy Wednesday! Wednesday Wishes is back this week and today I am sharing a few things that are on my wish list for summer. It’s no secret I love a good summer sundress {exhibit A} and this faux-wrap dress is right up my alley! I love the idea of a wrap dress, but wrap dresses tend to have minds of their own and don’t always cooperate, if you know what I mean! Since this is a faux-wrap with the cutest tie at the waist, it’s definitely one of my favorite sundress I’ve seen this season.

I’ve also been on the hunt for a pair of open toe sandals like these. I’ve been searching for a few weeks now, and I think I have found my favorite! Here are a few other styles I have liked:

Happy Monday! One of my favorite things about summer are sundresses. I love dresses no matter what time of the year, but I get especially excited for summer dresses. This might be a big statement, but I think this is my favorite summer dress ever. When I saw it at J.Crew last spring, I loved the colors and thought the silhouette was perfect, but I never expected to get as much wear out of it as I have. Not only is it a comfortable, A-line dress with a little “swing” in the skirt, but it’s so easy to pair with accessories! I have worn this dress out to dinner, to a wedding, to a graduation and even to work just by changing my accessories. It’s so versatile!

This dress sold out pretty quickly last spring, so I was super happy to get my hands on it when I did. While I was perusing J.Crew Factory’s website, I saw that the dress had made it’s way there this spring/summer in a slightly different silhouette. It’s already on clearance, so hurry over, there are only a few sizes left!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Who else likes these four day weeks?! I love that today is already Wednesday, don’t you?! Since I shared the Memorial Day Sales on Monday, I’m switching things up and sharing an outfit post today. Don’t worry, Wednesday Wishes will be back next week 😉

This was one of the looks I wore while out in Napa last week. The crossbody bag was my go-to accessory for this vacation. Not only was it easy to throw on, it literally goes with almost anything! And when packing for a trip, it’s essential to pack items that are super versatile.

When I purchased the bag a few months ago, I had a couple outfits in mind that I could wear it with, but never dreamed of getting as much use out of it as I have. Whether it is bringing out the lime green in this shirt or carrying it as a statement piece for a look, it is truly the perfect accessory for spring and summer — and it will stop traffic, seriously! I cannot tell you how many people have come up to me complimenting me on this bag — even men! If this isn’t a statement piece, I don’t know what is 😉 So, that’s fair warning that you will be seeing this bag a lot, so I apologize in advance, but I’m just that obsessed with it!
