Happy Monday! Today I am so excited to share with you this fun, faux fur coat from Tahari. I have been searching for a wool coat with a faux fur hood for several months now. I was totally obsessed with this one from J.Crew and almost convinced myself to buy it, but then I found this much more reasonably priced Tahari. As much as I love this style, I do think it’s more on the trendy side of coats. If I am going to spend more than $300 on a coat, it better be something I can wear practically everyday! And although this Tahari was priced at $400, with all the sales, I got such a great deal! I am still in the market for a new dress coat {I’ll keep you posted if I find any good ones!} but I’m pretty satisfied with this awesome find for now 🙂

Hope you all have a fabulous week and thanks for dropping by!

Happy Thursday everyone! Today I am sharing another one of my favorite cozy looks for winter. It is SUPER cold here {we are in the teens in DC!} and with weather like this, I love to wear a turtleneck, warm sweater and a scarf. I think it’s safe to say my blood has most definitely thinned since moving below the Mason-Dixon line! I cannot deal with the extremely low temperatures anymore! And today’s hat has two purposes: fashion and warmth!

For me, my go to color is always black. I don’t know if it’s because 5 out of the 7 days a week are spent in an office or because I really like the color, but my closet is filled with this basic color. Although, even when I am at work, I like to be able to add a pop of color or pattern or bold shoes or accessories to jazz up an outfit 😉 With my dark lips, red nails and check scarf, I think it’s the perfectly subtle pop. {Side note: I apologize for the white Ella hair. White pup + black clothes is not a good mix.}

Here are a few “brighten up your outfit” pieces I am loving right now:

Happy Wednesday everyone! Now that the holidays are over and the gift guides are complete, we are back to Wednesday Wishes on A Blonde’s Moment! Today, I am sharing some of my favorite winter coats. And how appropriate with yesterday’s weather in DC {you can see an Instagram picture about our snowy Tuesday here}. Now, the snow has stopped, but we are bracing for some serious cold temperatures. We have had such a mild winter so far, but I guess it is January!

Whether it be a dress coat or the perfect puffer coat, there are so many great options to choose from! And, this is one of the best times of the year to buy a new coat since it seems stores are running sales now that Christmas is over. I know that I just bought a new “trendy” more casual winter coat the other day and I cannot wait for it to arrive {stay tuned, it will be featured in a post soon! 😉 } I am still searching for a new dress coat and these are just a few that I have had my eye on 😉

One of my absolute favorites is this hot pink Ted Baker London coat. I have loved this coat since I first saw it in the fall and now that it is on sale, it’s definitely tempting! This coat has such chic and feminine lines, I think it is a statement coat that will be a classic for years to come. I am always drawn to black coats {I think I probably have at least 4 in my coat closet right now!}. I think it would be a great change-up to have a hot pink coat for a change, and it’s my signature color 😉 For those who want a more subtle look, it is also available in pale pink and taupe 🙂

Here are some of the great sales that are going on now:

Anthropologie: extra 25% off sale with code INAFLURRY

Bloomingdales: 25-65% off select merchandise

C.Wonder: 50% off everything

J.Crew: extra 40% off winter sale styles with code STYLE2015

Nordstrom: priced as marked

Shopbop: up to 70% off select styles

Hope that provides a little winter coat inspiration for you! Have a great day!

Happy Monday everyone! I guess it’s officially back to reality now that the holidays are over, and what better way to start the week than a cozy sweater, jeans and some pretty fabulous flats! I love mixing reds with leopard, and this cranberry sweater is no exception. I have been dying over this J.Crew sweater for months now {I literally want every color!} and it did not disappoint! I have serious issues with itchy sweaters and although I loved this sweater online, I had my doubts about it’s “comfort factor.” But, it is honestly the coziest, warmest and non-itchy sweater I have ever worn. I could live in it I think! Next color on my list: ivory. Although I’m just about as pale as the sweater, how perfect would it be for a winter white?!

Now, these leopard shoes. As you may remember, a few months ago, I had the opportunity to attend a shopping event with Julie Bee’s where I interviewed the founder, Julie Brown {you can see that post here}. I loved all the shoes and had such a difficult deciding on just one pair, but I went with my favorite print {or neutral, as I like to say 😉 }: leopard. What I love most about these flats is that the leopard is incorporated into the shoe so subtly, you can easily wear these for work, casual or a night out. I like to think of these shoes as business in the front and party in the back 😉 Julie Bee’s has a great selection of every style of shoe, and there are some great sales going on now too!

Hope you all have a fabulous first full week of 2015 and thanks for dropping by!

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! It’s hard to believe that we are already at the end of 2014…where has this year gone?! Today I’m wearing what has become known as my December uniform. I wore this to my office Christmas lunch a few weeks ago and it felt so office festive 🙂 I also love that, what I considered to be, a fall lipstick color is the perfect match to this cranberry turtleneck! The layer of this turtleneck under a sleeveless dress is the perfect way to style a spring or fall dress for the chilly winter. Hope you all have a great short week! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Happy Christmas week everyone! I cannot believe that it almost Christmas — where has this year gone?! Today I am sharing a festive Christmas look. I love getting dressed up each year for Christmas Eve; it’s one of my favorite nights of the year! And I just love this Nanette Lepore dress. This dress is so versatile; I have worn it every season of the year, styling it with different accessories to match the season and event. And this color could not be more perfect for the holiday season. To complete the look, I love this faux fur topper. Although it is from CAbi’s fall line a few seasons ago, I’ve seen so many jackets that are so similar to it {see link above}. I guess CAbi was ahead of the faux fur trend! I am really starting to get in the Christmas spirit, especially in this fun red dress 🙂 What is your favorite Christmas look?
