One of my favorite colors to incorporate into outfits this fall has been grey. I love how the soft grey can be mixed with black, dark grey, gold and even red accessories {especially this red lipstick — I love this color!} I also am obsessing over the gold leaf earrings from Melinda Maria {how appropriate for this season!}. I discovered Melinda Maria a little over a year ago and I just love her jewelry — between the beautiful gold pieces and the unique stones she uses, she truly has something for everyone!

Happy Monday! November is off to a chilly start here in the DC area. Although it was chilly yesterday {and super windy!} the crisp November air was a welcoming feeling! After a windy weekend, the leaves have really started to fall, as you can see above 🙂 This CAbi poncho was the perfect choice for this fall day. This poncho is the most comfortable and cozy sweater you will ever wear! I am so obsessed with it — I have worn in twice in the last week! There is nothing like a cozy sweater, and this is the epitome of a cozy sweater 🙂

As I mentioned in Monday’s post, {click here} we spent this past weekend in Pittsburgh and had a wonderful time enjoying the city, the food and the Steelers game. We also spent some time at my alma mater and watched the football game. In the name of school spirit, I had to incorporate red and blue into my outfit. I love pairing leopard and other animal prints with bright colors; the print just pops when faced with a hot pink or red 🙂

After the game, we walked around campus to take some pictures and take a look at all the changes that have been made since I graduated over four years ago. It’s amazing how much can change in such a short time! As a side note, it’s also amazing how young the current students look!! Did I really look that young when I was a student?! It made me feel so old!! 

It was such a fun weekend in Pittsburgh and I love all the shots we got while walking around campus. Pittsburgh is a wonderful city and Duquesne University has a beautiful campus — great backgrounds for photographs 🙂

Happy Wednesday! Lately, I have just been loving this crimson/burgundy color. It is so perfect for fall and I love how rich and striking it is, especially in sweater and lipstick form. To me, this is the perfect cozy fall outfit – a chunky sweater with jeans tucked into boots! And, if you haven’t noticed, I am loving the fall hat trend. I haven’t bought one yet {I just can’t decide, I love them all!} but this one is definitely at the top of my list!

Happy Monday! We spent this past weekend in Pittsburgh and it was a whirlwind trip! It’s always fun going back to the city where I spent four years of my life in college, and this weekend was no exception. On Saturday, we spent some time at my alma mater and watched the football game and walked around campus {check back Thursday!}. No trip to Pittsburgh is complete without dinner at my favorite restaurant of all time, Lidia’s {see my post from our last trip here}. And Sunday was devoted to the Steelers. As a lifelong fan, the Steelers did not disappoint yesterday! It was such an amazing game — not only did the Steelers beat the Colts, but Ben Roethlisberger became the 4th quarterback in history to win 100 games in 150 starts {as you can tell, I’m a big fan}. What an exciting weekend in a city with so many fun memories.

Well it’s that time of year again — sweater weather. This cliche became a reality for Ella this past weekend. It has to be pretty chilly for Ella to allow me to put a sweater on her {although I fight it, she’s such a tomboy!} but after a few chilly nights, I think she was happy to see this fall sweater come out of the closet. How can she hate sweaters when she looks this cute?!

Puppy modeling is hard work…Ella slept the rest of the night with her favorite toy, Babs the Bunny, after this photo session 😉

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a great weekend! A couple of weeks ago, in my first Wednesday Wishes post, I devoted an entire post to this beautiful violet color {see post here}. I am really loving this soft purple for fall. And I just love how this color pops with black accents. And the best part is that this shirt is on sale at J.Crew! I’m looking forward to wearing this shirt many different ways, so stay tuned! I also have to mention this beautiful Tory Burch bag. I have been eyeing this bag since the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in the summer, it is so chic! Thanks so much to my thoughtful husband for surprising me with this on Friday 🙂

Happy Friday! One of my many favorite looks for fall is the incorporation of leather. I am so obsessed with dress! It appears that many are also obsessed as it’s sold out 🙁 but Halogen also made a sleeveless version and that’s on sale {see link above}. This brick wall has been on my list for picture backgrounds for awhile now. It’s right around the corner from our house and I just love the American flag that has been painted on the brick! We walk by this flag multiple times a week and it never seems to get old. It makes me feel so patriotic and so thankfully for everything we have in our great country!

One of my favorite color combinations this fall is ivory and black. Pairing these two colors together makes for such a chic look! I am especially loving these Prada sunglasses — not only do they look fabulous with this outfit, they would be perfect for everyday looks as well. I am also obsessed with hats for fall. Although this one is on the pricier side, Nordstrom has some other more affordable hats {here & I love the details in this one!} Not only are ivory and black super chic, but I just love all the girly details {i.e. bows!} in each of these pieces!
