Since I wrapped up the gift guides last week with the best 50 gifts under $50, I thought it was time to jump into some inspiration for NYE. I will be sharing a more casual look next week, but this week’s inspiration is all about the glitz and sparkle.

Sparkle, sparkle and more sparkle. New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to break out the sequins and glitz. And whether it’s dressing the part for a night out or accessorizing for a NYE at home, there is something for everyone :

  • There is no better place to start than with THIS skirt. I can never pass up the chance to wear a midi length skirt or dress and this silver one is too festive for words! I also love these fun skirts for the holiday season: THIS black tulle skirt that’s under $25, THIS pretty pink sequin skirt {!!!} and THIS olive midi lace skirt.
  • As for sparkly accessories, I love THIS abstract lace clutch {priced under $60} and THIS playful and festive bubbly watch. Not as sparkly but just as fabulous, THIS faux fur collar dresses up a look instantly, and it’s on sale!
  • For those that are staying in for the final party of 2016, festive decor is a must! I love THIS crystal wine stopper, THIS winter spruce candle and THIS embroidered dot pillow.
Do you have any fun plans for NYE? I would love to hear what you are planning in the comments section below!

With the one week mark until Christmas only a few days away, I’m sharing a round-up of my top 50 gifts under $50!

Whether you are looking for stocking stuffers, a gift for your mom or even a friend, this list will have you covered. And with a variety of prices ranges, the gifting options are truly endless! To highlight a few gifts in each color category:

  • You can never go wrong with red this time of the year, but don’t think it’s limited to December! This bright hue is the perfect cure for a gloomy, winter day and Valentine’s Day will be just around the corner. THIS crewneck sweater, priced below $20, can easily be worn dressed up for work with black skinny pants or dressed down with jeans. Doesn’t it look cozy too? Speaking of cozy, I’ve been all about the beanies and other winter hair accessories lately and THIS beanie {also available in a variety of colors} and THIS headband will keep you warm when the snow starts to fall {or that has already been falling depending on where you live!}
  • When it comes to hot pink, there are three beauty accessories that have had me intrigued for the past few months: THIS makeup brush cleaning mat, THIS facial cleansing device and THIS makeup eraser. I think I have mentioned this brush cleaning mat before, but it seems like a really practical gift. With different textures to clean your makeup brushes, this mat sticks in your sink for a simple and easy way to clean your brushes. And it’s only $25! As much as I love my Clarisonic, I’ve had my eye on THIS cleansing device. The Clarisonic can be a little large to travel with and it seems like THIS device is similar in function, but much smaller in size. Lastly, THIS makeup eraser removes your makeup with just water. And that includes waterproof mascara!
  • Moving onto blush. There are so many pretty, girly pieces in this group, but two of my favorite are THESE statement earrings and THIS oversized scarf. The scarf is super soft, cozy and also available in several colors.
  • Last, but not least, gold. I recently reorganized and redecorated my office and along with pink {obviously!} I added a lot of gold accessories. THIS agenda is a planner’s dream and THIS gold stripe tumbler is perfect for taking your coffee on the road.
How is all your shopping coming? It’s crazy to me that Christmas is just over a week away! Thanks for stopping by and see you back here tomorrow for another holiday outfit post!

Gift Guide: Personalized Presents

personalized-gift-ideas

I love giving gifts. I know you have probably heard me say this before, but I always try to find the perfect gift for everyone on my list. I think there is always a sense of excitement when a person receives a personalized gift. Finding your name or initial on an item makes it instantly feel more special. As a child, who didn’t love looking for their name on a key chain, Christmas ornament or magnet! Today, I am rounding up a few of my favorite personalized gifts for this holiday season. And don’t worry, there is still time to order those “made to order” items.

As much as I love ordering personalized gifts, it can often be difficult. Typically, you are faced with earlier shipping deadlines and the recipient not having the ability to return the item. Since that is an issue that a lot of us face, I’ve include a few of my favorite initial pieces like this trinket tray for the jewelry lover, this gold letter for decoration in an office and who doesn’t need socks, a great stocking stuffer!

But, if you are looking for something a little more personal, here are a few of my current favorites:
  • This cozy, monogrammed sweatshirt tunic is ideal for weekend errands or just lounging around the house. Pair it with leggings or skinny jeans and you are casual, cute and comfortable. Speaking of cute, wouldn’t these monogrammed duck boots be perfect with this casual weekend look? Priced at $69 and available in 3 colors, these would also make a great gift!
  • A hot pink monogrammed mug? I’m in! Pair the mug with these fabulous coasters and you have quite a fabulous dining room or office situation.
  • I have been wanting a custom address stamp for years now but I keep telling myself that I need to wait until we get our next house. I love all the fun script options this stamp offers. A great gift idea for a house warming present or newlywed couple, too!
I typically don’t discriminate when it comes to monograms, I love them all! But, if it wasn’t already obvious, monogram necklaces take the cake in my book. You probably notice that I wear THIS monogram necklace from Onecklace quite frequently, it’s my very favorite! Because I do wear it so frequently, my mom always mentions how much she likes it and that she wants one too. And since I got this monogram obsession from my mama, it’s only right that we can be matching in our necklaces now! With Onecklace‘s festive wrapping, it looks perfect under the Christmas tree. And goes well with the color scheme too I might add!

Since tomorrow is the first day of December {how is that even possible?!} I only have a few more gift guides left to share with you! Today I am focusing on, arguably, the most difficult people on my list: my dad and husband. Here are a few of my favorite gift ideas for the guys on your list…and they are all under $50!

  • When it comes to clothing, sweaters, socks and pajama pants are always good ideas. THIS v-neck sweater comes in several colors and can be worn alone or with a button down shirt.
  • For the mixologist in your life, THIS anchor bottle opener would make a great gift along with THESE old fashioned glasses and ice mold.
  • At least one holiday out of the year, I typically buy my husband cufflinks. He wears them most days to work so it’s a great way for him to accessorize a suit. THESE cufflinks would be the perfect gift for a husband or boyfriend — how cute is the hidden message on the back of the cufflink? If you are looking for more whimsical, engraved and an overall great selection of cufflinks, I usually find a lot HERE
If you missed my gift guide for her: under $50, you can see that HERE. To see more gift guides, be sure to subscribe to THIS list. I have been sending out extra posts on Fridays that are exclusive to e-mail subscribers — you won’t want to miss out!

Gift guide season is here and I could not be more excited! For those of you who have subscribed to my e-mail newsletter, this isn’t the first gift guide of the season you’ve seen, but it is the first that has been on the blog. I will be sharing gift guides for everyone on your list starting with all the girls this week. I kept this list to gifts under $50 which means these are perfect for friends or even stocking stuffers!
Picking out gifts for my family and friends has always been one of my favorite things to do. Although I tend to become a little obsessive over find that “perfect” gift, I always try to find something that is meaningful. Here are a few items for the girls on your holiday gift list:

  • For the working girl, I love THIS glitter business card holder and THIS gold 2017 desk calendar. Other office supplies {of the gold variety} include THIS pineapple pencil holder {only $16!} and THIS gold stapler. Don’t gold accessories make an office so much more fun?
  • In preparing for winter, some of my favorite cozy gifts of the season include THIS turtleneck sweater, THIS beanie {also available in grey} and THESE slippers. Each year for Christmas, I ask for a pair of these slippers, they are my absolute favorite. Last year I got the leopard print {unfortunately I haven’t seen this print yet this year} and I wear them to death until the following Christmas. They are truly the most comfortable and warmest slippers I have ever owned!
  • THIS blush shoulder bag looks so much like THIS Chloe bag, at a faction of the price {$49.99 to be exact!} THIS style is also available in black and a similar style is available in brown for only $29.99. You can’t beat this designer dupe!
I need to take some of my own advice on these gift guides and start shopping! I can’t believe that Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is just around the corner. I need to get moving! Have you started your holiday shopping yet? I hope you all have a great weekend and see you back here on Monday!

Thanksgiving Inspiration

cute-thanksgiving-outfit

one | two | three| four | five | six | seven | eight
nine | ten | eleven | twelve | thirteen | fourteen | fifteen

Since we are quickly approaching Thanksgiving, I am continuing the Thanksgiving inspiration today with an outfit and a few must-haves if you are playing host for the holiday.

Thanksgiving outfit planning can be tricky, but there are two aspects of comfort to consider {having to wear the outfit for the majority of the day and picking a waistband that can grow with you} and of course the weather. For us, the last few Thanksgivings have been all over the place, from snow one year to warm and sunny the next, the weather can be pretty unpredictable. Suffice to say I am planning for a cooler Thanksgiving with this cape and turtleneck, but if the temperatures are warmer, you can style the look without the extra layer.

  • I have loved THIS oxford check skirt since the first day I laid eyes on it — it’s A-line shape, side pockets and fall colors make for a skirt that can be styled not only with ankle booties, but over the knee boots as well. With such a statement pattern, a plain and basic turtleneck is a great option.
  • THESE crystal drop earrings will dress any outfit up and will be perfect to pair with all your outfits as we head into the holiday season. Best part: they are priced under $40 and are currently 25% off with the code SHOPNOW.
  • When it comes to home decor must-haves for Thanksgiving, I came up with a few ideas for the hostess. Gold flatware adds the perfect amount of glam to any tablescape — I just bought some for myself and I love them! A cute platter and festive napkins also add to the tablescape and if you are looking for other Thanksgiving plates, decorations and accessories, there is a great selection HERE.
Have you started planning out your Thanksgiving outfit yet? I’m still in the process, I really need to check the extended forecast to see how the temperatures are trending before I get too carried away! Have a wonderful Wednesday, friends!

P.S. Don’t forget that there is still time to enter the $250 cabi gift card giveaway! You can enter at the bottom of THIS post. Good luck!

November Neutrals

camel-fall-outfit-inspiration

one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight |
nine | ten | eleven | twelve | thirteen | fourteen | fifteen | sixteen

If I had to give the month of November a color, it would most definitely be camel. Falling leaves, cooler temperatures and Thanksgiving (which is only three weeks away!!!) have me dreaming in neutrals…with little touches of gold.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that this neutral color makes me think of November. Camel transitions to gold so perfectly, leading us into the festive holiday season. I’ve rounded up of a few of my favorite camel and gold pieces for today’s post. From clothing to beauty products to home accessories, these shades are everywhere this season!

  • I recently discovered THIS brand of lipgloss and I am completely obsessed! You know how much I love to match my lip color with my look and I can’t get over how gorgeous these colors are in person! My first purchase was the Buff color and I loved it so much, I ordered the Cassis and Cabernet — perfect for fall and the holiday season.
  • I hate to go all Christmas on you just yet (Halloween was only two days ago!) but I found these gold coasters that would be perfect for the holidays — or anytime of the year in our house! I stick to mostly golds and silvers when decorating for Christmas. I’m not a huge fan of the red and green decor.
  • And since I already mentioned Christmas, I recently discovered THESE fragrances in an ornament! Jo Malone has a lot of Christmas pieces out already like THIS miniature candle collection, THIS “Christmas cracker set” and THIS bathtime collection. Cute packaging included 🙂 P.S. Not to freak anyone out, but I remember a lot of the beauty gift sets going really fast last Christmas, so if you are interested in any of them, I would order them early! Personally, I have yet to come to terms with the fact that it is already November. Is anyone else with me? Where did this year go?!
Did you hear about the Shopbop Surprise Sale that started  yesterday? For three days, shop select styles up to 40% off! Here are a few of my favorite picks. You can click directly on the image 🙂

Splurge vs. Save: Statement Coat

how-to-style-statement-coat-on-budget
Now that the temperatures are beginning to drop {and will hopefully be staying this way!} it’s time to start thinking about coats. Since it’s not terribly cold yet, I like to focus more on the “cuteness” factor of the coat, as opposed to the warmth factor. As far as cute coats go, I can’t think of a better piece than a statement coat, of the leopard variety, of course. And since I haven’t shared a splurge vs. save post in awhile, I wanted to talk about styling a statement coat at any budget.
how-to-style-leopard-coat

Styling a statement coat, or piece for that matter, can sometimes be tricky. Since it is such a loud and in your face piece {you are making a statement after all!} it’s important to highlight it, not take away from it by choosing other not so basic pieces. As for the leopard jacket, black with touches of gold are always a safe combination that won’t detract from the coat. I do, however, always love to add a pop of color with lipstick and nail polish. The red in both looks adds to the statement factor of the coat, and red, black and leopard is always a classic combination! If the bold lip isn’t your thing, a nude or beige lip color would also look fabulous.

When it comes to comparing the splurge and save looks, I definitely have a few favorite finds. The splurge sunglasses are priced at almost $450, while the save sunglasses are currently on sale for $22! The save statement earrings are almost an identical match for the Kendra Scott splurge earrings, except they are about $50 less. Last, but certainly not least, the handbag comparison. I truly could not believe how similar the two bags were when I first found them, yet not so similar in price. The splurge handbag comes in at almost $900 while the save is only $48!

How do you like to style a statement coat? What are some of your favorites from the splurge vs. save items? Have a wonderful Wednesday, friends!

Midnight Blue

navy-blue-outfit-ideas-for-fall
one | two | three | four | five | six | seven | eight
nine | ten | eleven | twelve | thirteen | fourteen | fifteen

I have been on a serious fall color kick as of late. And as much as I love a good burgundy or olive green, the past week I’ve been swooning over a not so typical fall shade: midnight blue.

There is something so rich and glamours about this midnight blue/navy color. The deep hue is not only perfect for wearing now, but also as we get into the holiday season and winter months. And although it was once considered a fashion faux pas, I love the mix of navy and black together, especially when it comes to more formal pieces. Two navy and black pieces I am loving right now: THIS collarless tweed embellished jacket and THIS quilted puffy coat with a faux fur collar. There is something very elegant about mixing navy and black together, don’t you think?

A few more pieces of note:
  • If you are looking to add two trendy shoes to your collection that happen to be in this gorgeous color, THESE menswear inspired pointed toe flats are under $80 and THESE velvet ankle boots are a must for your fall and winter looks. I’m all about velvet right now and these are reasonably priced at $89!
  • I have had my eye on pretty much every new arrival from Tory Burch but the suede handbags are at the top of my list. Although I do love this blue, with the bag’s higher price tag, it would probably be more economically to pick a more neutral color. Speaking of new arrivals, have you seen THIS “block T” leather tote?
  • If you are looking to expand navy to your beauty look, THIS 9-color palette has some gorgeous shades that would look good well into the holidays too.
  • You may remember from a post a few weeks ago about fall decor {you can read that HERE} that I was searching for a good fall candle. I did just find THIS one over the weekend and so far so good! But, THIS particular candle caught my attention as a possibility for later in the year. I have had great luck with Voluspa candles in the past so I’m definitely looking forward to trying more.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Fall Color Crush: Burgundy

fall-burgundy-fashion

one | two | three | four {similar style here}| five | six | seven | eight | nine | ten

I’m switching things up a little this week and making Wednesday Wishes more like Monday Musings. Since a lot of people are off for Columbus Day today {unfortunately, I’m not one of them!} I wanted to share some fall color inspiration for those who have shopping planned for their day off.

I know this color is by no means revolutionary for fall — in fact, it’s probably the most quintessential color of them all — but, I have been seeing more burgundy than ever this season. I know I touched on this fall trend in one of my fall trends under $100 post, but there have been so many new pieces that have arrived since then, I could not resist sharing a few of my current favorites. From lace dresses to sweaters to accessories, this color is literally everywhere. One of my favorite burgundy finds of the season has been this turtleneck sweater. Although simple, it’s a great staple piece and perfect for layering with vests, jackets and blanket scarves {it’s also available in other colors if burgundy isn’t your thing!}. I bought the sweater last year in a bright pink and it was definitely a favorite.

Accessories are one of my favorite parts of creating a look and this selection of burgundy accessories are some of my favorite. I always love a good hat or blanket scarf, but this suede bag is truly stunning. As for shoes, these pumps with the semi-opaque detailing are just gorgeous and could be worn all through winter — how perfect would they be with a Christmas dress!

A few other burgundy items for fall:

  • I have had my eye on this coat for a while now. I love the draped lapels, wrap style and of course the color. It’s finally on sale for under $200. And I love the name 😉
  • Looking to add something burgundy to your husband/boyfriend’s closet? This shirt is one of my husband’s favorites — he has it in a few colors!
  • As I mentioned in last week’s Wednesday Wishes, I have been searching for fall candles for our house. I just discovered this one and I’m dying to smell it. I would be perfect for the holidays, too!

Thanks for dropping by and see you tomorrow for an all new recipe!
