Since we covered the food aspect of Thanksgiving yesterday {here is the post in case you missed it!} I thought it would be a good idea to talk Thanksgiving fashion for this week’s Wednesday Wishes. Today, I am sharing Thanksgiving dinner outfit inspiration, no matter how fancy your celebration is! 


For me, I am probably somewhere in between these two looks on the casual to dressy scale for Thanksgiving. The past two years have been freezing, and after running in the 5 mile Turkey Trot in the morning, all I could think about is comfort and warmth! Thankfully, we decided not to run in the race this year, so I will have a little more time to outfit plan, and I won’t be frozen! 


In the first look, I am loving this check a-line skirt — it’s definitely a multipurpose skirt that can easily be worn throughout winter. It can also be easily paired with several colors — I love it with the ivory sweater for a more conservative look, while the bright yellow jacket would add the perfect pop of color!  And with a price tag of $60, it’s hard to beat!  


For the second look, it’s all about fall colors. Doesn’t this look just scream Thanksgiving?! I have had an obsession with burgundy and shades of brown all fall and it seems that Thanksgiving is the perfect time to incorporate these colors into an outfit. Not only do these cute fringe booties look amazing with the skinny jeans, but they are perfectly on trend. Did you happen to recognize this crossbody? It was one of my favorite accessories in the bright lime green color all spring and summer, and now it’s back in stock for fall. P.S. It also comes in a fabulous pink!!!

Now that Halloween is behind us, it’s time to prepare for the holiday shopping season. I know, it may seem early, but it is November and the holidays will be here before we know it! I love shopping for gifts for everyone on my list, and I am so excited that the time has finally come! Happy Wednesday! As those chilly temperatures are starting to set in, one thing is for sure: I have had layering on my mind! In today’s Wednesday Wishes, I wanted to share with you a different twist on layering. I love the idea of throwing a solid sweater over a patterned button down shirt so that just the shirt tail sticks out. It creates an unexpected layer that is not only warm and cozy but stylish too! And how cute are these boots?! I have had a pair of black riding boots similar to these for at least 5 years and they are still in pretty good shape. I really hate to give them up, but it’s probably time for a new pair. Although, I have to say, I’m really loving this deep chocolate color — I might have to find a different style riding boot in black!

**lipstick color: So Marilyn**


It’s been a preppy week here at A Blonde’s Moment! There is no doubt that I tend to gravitate to more classic and preppy looks and this is one of my favorites yet! How can you not love a tweed skirt, riding boots and a quilted jacket?! Not only are these great staple pieces for your closet, but this neutral color scheme is perfect for the autumn months. 


Although I am usually partial to black over brown, there is something about these neutrals of beige, tan and brown that I am loving right now! And what is great about this tweed skirt is that it can easily be paired with black as well. Whoever said you can’t wear brown and black together had it all wrong! From the looks of it, this tweed skirt has been pretty popular, so grab it quick if it’s still in stock in your size! I can definitely see myself wearing this look with boot socks now and throwing on a pair of tights for a cooler day.

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today I wanted to share some outfit inspiration for this week’s Wednesday Wishes. I have been drawn to jeweled accents and silver colors as of late and, as you can tell from this set, I’m obsessed with them in a big way! Usually thought of as perfect for a night out on the town, jeweled accessories and shades of silver can easily be added to your outfit to subtly glam up your look. 


When I first saw this skirt in the new arrivals section, I was in love. Not only do I get super excited for anything tweed in the fall, but the skirt has the most perfect double zip that is totally on point for this season. And how about these flats?! You may remember I shared with you a few weeks ago my favorite fall shoe trends and one of the categories was menswear. I love that these silver flats are menswear-esque, yet with the pointed toe, there is a definite sense of femininity. And they can be styled with anything from jeans, to dress to skirts. Super versatile!

Save and splurge is back! This is one of my favorite series here on A Blonde’s Moment. Not only do I love finding a good deal, but these collages are so fun to put together because it’s always my goal to find as close of a match as I can!


I’ve been talking about a lot of fall trends lately {exhibit A, exhibit B} but one piece I have had my eye on for a few months now is the cape. To me, the cape seems so Parisian and chic — and super practical for fall and early winter in Virginia. What I love most about this particular look is that black and white is always chic, but with the added pop of the leopard boots, it takes this outfit to a new trendy level. And you can never go wrong with red lips! 


This is definitely an outfit I could see myself wearing this fall and early winter. I know this save cape is running low on stock {it was just on sale yesterday 🙁 } so here are a few more affordable capes I’m also loving: Mango Wool Blend Cape and Pinar Checked Wool Cape.

Happy Wednesday! There are so many trends I am loving for fall, it was hard to share just three of them with you today! There is no question I love the classics, but I think it’s fun to incorporate trendy pieces of the moment into your wardrobe as well. But, when it comes to trendy pieces, it’s not necessary to break the bank! So in that spirit, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite trends for fall that are all under $100!


We started to see a lot of fringe during the spring and summer months and I’m so excited it is continuing into fall. Although I haven’t actually jumped on the fringe train yet and purchased something, I think I could definitely get behind these cute fringe booties. With the block heel and the open-toe style, they are made for comfort and fall days! 


My favorite of the fall trends has to do with the colors. For a few weeks now, I have mentioned how I am loving the crimson and dark green colors this fall {see here}, and these three pieces are no exception. There is something so rich and sophisticated about this olive green color and I just can’t get enough of it. Especially this dress — it would be perfect for the warmer September days and could easily be paired with a jacket and boots for the cooler fall weather.


Last, but not least, the ’70s. Although you may classify fringe as part of the ’70s vibe, all I can think about are these flared jeans! I have been obsessing over flares for a few months now and finally ordered a pair {I wish some of my flares that I wore back in middle school still fit!} and I cannot wait for them to arrive. I loved the style back then and I am so glad it is making a comeback.
