A colorful swing blouse that’s just in time for Cinco de Mayo on Saturday! I wore this blouse while we were in Texas a few weeks ago. The bright primary colors felt very “Texas” to me and as soon as I saw it, I knew I needed it for our trip south. And then it hit me: this blouse would be also be the perfect top for a colorful Cinco de Mayo outfit!

Colorful Cinco de Mayo Outfit
I first spotted this swing top at Shopbop (unfortunately, it’s sold out there now — still available here!). What first caught my eye was the brand — Ella Moon. It instantly made me think of our Ella! After checking out the selection of Ella Moon pieces (you can see the entire selection here), I was impressed. Cute pieces at pretty affordable prices! I decided on this colorful swing top: I loved the fit and colors and figured it would be perfect to wear while sightseeing in Dallas and Austin. Doesn’t the print make you think of the southwest and Mexican food (haha! I’m always thinking about food!) — hence today’s post! I also loved the ladder cutout around the neckline. It’s such a fun detail!
As for sizing, I am wearing my true size, a medium. I probably could have sized down given it’s swing style, but I wouldn’t have wanted the top to be any shorter. Given the top’s shorter length, I opted for my go-to high waisted skinny jeans. And since the top was a bright and fun print, I wanted to keep the accessories more neutral. I went with my favorite beige wedges and this straw bag (similar style here and here).
I hope you all have a great weekend! Any fun plans for Cinco de Mayo? Or the Kentucky Derby? I guess I should be asking if you are Team Margarita or Team Mint Julep for Saturday!
In case you missed it, I shared a cute and festive Cinco de Mayo recipe on Tuesday. If you are looking for food inspiration for Saturday, you can check out the post and recipe here. Thanks for stopping by and see you back here on Monday, friends!

I have always been a fan of colorful outfits. The more colorful and brighter the contrast the better. You look so lovely with your outfit.
