Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a great weekend. The temperatures in the D.C. area were surprising cool for this time of the year. Only in the 80s! Actually, it was in the 60s during Ella’s walk Saturday morning. It really makes me excited for fall! But since I’m sure these “cooler” temperatures were a fluke for us, I still have a few summer outfits to share with all of you. First up, this end of summer stripe dress. Nothing says summer like stripes and this one is only $20 and available in 9 colors and prints!

End of Summer Stripe Dress
You may remember this green maxi dress I shared with you a few weeks ago in this post. One of my favorite Amazon steals! After having so much success with that dress, I thought I would try another dress. I originally fell in love with the bell sleeves and the bow-back detail. The navy embroidery is such a cute detail, too! Initially, I was worried about the length. Always a problem for me! I decided to size up to a large. For reference, I am 5’8 and usually a size medium or a 6/8.
The dress fits (maybe a tad short?) but it definitely isn’t too big. The medium would have been WAY too short and tight across my back. I would suggest sizing up.
As for accessories, I went with a few of my go-to favorites: white sandals and white crossbody bag. Overall, I think the dress is a good buy, especially for $20. I think it’s important to remember that when purchasing clothes from Amazon, you get what you pay for. It was $20: I wasn’t expecting J.Crew quality haha! But, for an easy to throw on dress for running errands, it works! There are quite a few different colors and patterns (some that will work into fall as well!). This stripe one would even be cute paired with a denim jacket.

As we were shooting these pictures, Richard said he couldn’t get a good shot of my shoes. Read: Rachel, your sandals are the same color as your legs! He said, “congratulations, you have maintained your porcelain skin throughout almost all of summer” haha! I said yes, I have fair skin and yes, I wear a lot of sunscreen and I totally embrace it! Plus, that means less wrinkles as I get older 🙂

LOL Richard makes me laugh! He got a good shot of the shoes in the end, and they are so super cute! I really need to try Amazon for their dresses, because your green one and now this are both my favorite! I’m such a sucker for these sleeves too.
