Happy Monday, friends! Just stopping in for a quick post to share another easy, and a bit edgy, fall outfit idea. A faux leather jacket is one of my favorite fall and winter layers. It’s easy to throw over tees, dresses and even thinner sweaters! And I love the edgy element the jacket instantly gives the look. For today’s outfit, I paired my go-to faux leather jacket and leopard mules for the ultimate casual and cool fall outfit idea.
Faux Leather Jacket: BLANKNYC (under $100) | Tank: Madewell | Jeans: Paige Denim (on sale!)| Bag: Celine (buy it pre-owned here) | Leopard Mules: STEVEN (also here & here)| Ring: David Yurman | Earrings: Nordstrom | Sunglasses: Ray-Ban | Lipstick: Backtalk | Lipgloss: Fuel
Fall Must-Have: Faux Leather Jacket
If you have been following along for a while, you probably already know about my love for versatile pieces. I’m always more likely to purchase a piece if I can find multiple ways to wear it. Who doesn’t?! But this faux leather jacket ranks pretty high on my list of pieces that I have worn the most. I like to think of this faux leather jacket as an investment piece that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. I had been searching for a faux leather jacket a few years ago and stumbled upon this one. Little did I know they would still be making this jacket today and that it would become one of my go-to layers in the fall and winter. The quality is great for faux leather and you can’t beat it’s under $100 price tag. The jacket runs true to size.
Fall Favorite: Leopard Mules
As I mentioned in last week’s post, an early fall outfit would not be complete without my favorite leopard mules. I stuck with a white tank and my high-waisted skinny jeans to keep the look simple and casual. As I mentioned before, I love the “edginess” a faux leather jacket brings to an outfit. And with the leopard mules and aviator sunglasses, it just adds to this edgy fall look.

Thanks for reading! As much as I tried to get a second post up last week, it’s been difficult to find the time with this move. I’m hoping next week I will have an entire post dedicated to the move to fill you in on all the details. So far, this move has taken a toll. As I type this on Friday, I’m pretty sure I have a broken thumb (of course on my dominate, right hand)! I was cleaning out kitchen cabinets at the new house and pulling out shelf liners from the previous owners. Whatever shelf paper they used had some serious stick! I was pulling and pulling, lost my grip and slammed (and when I say slammed, I mean SLAMMED) by hand against the cabinet. I’m still not able to move or bend my thumb, making typing difficult, so I think a trip to the urgent care is in my future. Selling a house and moving to another is not for the faint of heart! Needless to say we are looking forward to October when we are done with this entire process.
Have a great start to the week, friends!
