With a new season comes a new way to style your chambray! Chambray, whether in the form of a shirt, dress or even shorts, is a versatile piece of clothing to have in your closet. A few months ago, I shared a post on how to wear chambray in the winter. Now, with summer quickly approaching, I’m talking about how to wear chambray in the summer with four of my favorite summer looks.

Chambray Dress

Oh this chambray dress! One of my favorite multi-season dresses, I have worn this dress so much over the years. From espadrilles in the summer to riding boots and faux fur vests in the fall, a chambray dress is definitely a must-have in your closet. For this particular summer look, I went pretty casual with espadrilles and my beige tote. Chambray is the perfect summer neutral because you can style it with just about any accessory you would like. Chambray Shirt & White Jeans

It doesn’t get more versatile than a chambray button-up shirt! This chambray shirt might be one of my best purchases of all-time. It is one of those tops that goes with just about anything: pants, shorts (see below), skirts and even worn over a dress! For this outfit, I paired the chambray shirt with white jeans and red accessories. Perfectly patriotic for three upcoming holidays: Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day! It’s an easy and casual look that can easily be mixed up with different color accessories. I love the bright red sandals and bag for a fun summer color combination.

Off the Shoulder Chambray Top

A different spin on the traditional chambray shirt (see above and below), this chambray off the shoulder top is a great way to wear chambray and still be trendy. While the other outfits are more classic, this off the shoulder top with tie sleeves paired with pink accessories adds a little trendy to your summer chambray look. And while I love the bright pink tassel earrings, clutch and pumps with the chambray and white jeans, I have also styled the chambray with more neutral pieces here. That’s the great thing about chambray, you can totally customize the outfit with accessories!

Chambray Shirt & Printed Shorts

Last, but not least, styling a chambray shirt with printed shorts makes for a fun summer outfit. A little more trendy, but still preppy, a chambray shirt paired with printed shorts is always a great combination. And if printed shorts aren’t your thing, plain or colored shorts would be perfect too! I love the idea of pairing a long sleeve shirt with shorts for an early summer day or cool summer evening and it even works well with a chambray shirt. I finished this look with a neon statement crossbody bag and my go-to white summer sandals.
