Ever since I shared this Peach Caprese Salad, I’ve been craving peaches. Summer is the season for them after all! A few weeks ago, I was dreaming of the Southern Peach Cake I shared with you last summer trying to think of a way to enjoy a peach dessert without all the calories. Enter these grilled peaches with vanilla ice and a delicious cinnamon sauce. The perfect summer dessert and an excuse to fire up your grill for something other than hamburgers!
Ingredient: cinnamon
Caramel Apple Granola
If you have been following along for awhile, you probably have caught some of my other granola recipes. I love adding granola to my vanilla yogurt so I am always thinking of new ingredients. I started with the original recipe (here) and have made seasonal changes like peanut butter granola and most recently, carrot cake granola. For fall, I wanted something that really represented the flavors of the season. Caramel Apple Granola sounded fitting.
Homemade Pumpkin Waffles
Welcome to pumpkin season! I am taking full advantage of the fall season and cooking up a few of my pumpkin favorites. Last year, I made these pumpkin rolls with caramel frosting as a sweet breakfast treat. But this year, I wanted to try my hand at something a little more from scratch. I always like to share quick and easy recipes with you, but I thought that since this was a simple recipe, it would be fun to kick off the pumpkin season with homemade pumpkin waffles.
Southern Peach Cake
Peaches are one of my favorite fruits, but especially this time of the year when they are in season. As with most families, there are quite a few recipes that have been passed down through the years in mine. My southern great grandmother’s peach cake is definitely one of our favorites. My aunt and cousin were down in Virginia visiting my mom and dad this past weekend and we thought it was the perfect opportunity to make one of my great grandmother’s recipes: Southern Peach Cake.
