Happy New Year, friends! I’m back to kick off 2021 with an organization series. After spending so much time in our house in 2020, I realized how much more organized certain areas of the house could be. New year, new organizational pieces! First up: the kitchen pantry and spice cabinet.
2021 Organization: Kitchen Pantry & Spice Cabinet
One of my favorite accounts to follow on Instagram is The Neat Method. They have so many organizational ideas and tips and provide you with the best motivation! Each January, they share a “New Year, NEAT Me” calendar that allows you to focus on different areas of your home each day in January. I am following this calendar and have been loving it. Tackling one area of your house each day is manageable and doesn’t seem overwhelming. Which is essential when it comes to organizing! Here is what our pantry looked like pre-organization. COMPLETE DISASTER!
How I Organized Our Pantry
As you can see, our pantry was in need of some desperate help. Here is a recap of the organization I did in our kitchen pantry and the spice cabinet. Going into the organization last weekend, I had an idea of some of the containers I would need, but I ended up having to order additional pieces to complete the space.
white bins for onions and potatoes (I separate them so they don’t go bad as quickly!)
three bin divider — I love this for dressing packets, instant potatoes, and even chocolate chip/nuts for baking
