With the new year, I am back to sharing my work outfits on Instagram. You can find me on Instagram at rach.mccarthy. You can see my last workday outfit post from the summer here. Not only am I rounding up three of my recent winter workday outfits, but I’m also sharing some workday outfit inspiration for spring. Although we haven’t had true winter conditions yet in the D.C. area, I still have my mind on spring clothes!
Recent Winter Workday Outfits
Blazer: cabi, similar style here & here| black jeans (under $50!) | black turtleneck tee | pumps, less expensive version here | handbag, buy it pre-owned here
Oversized Blazer
This has been my go-to blazer this fall and winter. I love the oversized style and how easy it is to wear: dress it up or style it casually with jeans! Unfortunately, this blazer is from cabi last season and is no longer available. I did link two super similar options above!
snakeskin blouse: cabi, similar style here | oversized cardigan | leggings | OTK boots | handbag, buy it pre-owned here
Snakeskin Print Blouse & Oversized Cardigan
I have always loved animal print, but snakeskin is a newer addition to my closet. Pairing a bold print like this always works well with something simple — like a black cardigan and leggings! I wore this look the morning I commuted into work after we got a few inches of snow the night before. I was all about functionality and comfort! These are my favorite OTK boots that I have had for a few years now. They are a great dupe for the designer version and you can’t beat the under $60 price tag on these!
similar turtleneck sweater here & here | black jeans | snakeskin ankle booties, similar here & here| pearl headband (under $10!) | earrings | handbag, buy it pre-owned pearl headband
Turtleneck Sweater with Snakeskin Ankle Booties
This was my casual Friday look last week and it was the perfect balance of comfort and edgy. I paired my cropped black jeans with my snakeskin ankle booties and a colored turtleneck. This shade of blue always makes me think of January and winter. We still had some snow on the ground last Friday and it seemed like the perfect sweater to wear on a snowy day. I also accessorized with my pearl headband, which is now on sale for under $10! I’m always looking for an excuse to wear this pearl headband!
Spring Workday Inspiration
I know we are only about halfway through January and have a ways to go before we start to experience spring weather, but here are a few spring pieces I have my eye on. It’s never too early to look, right?! Also, the great things about these spring pieces is that you can start incorporating them into your wardrobe before spring even starts!
hot pink dress | ballet flats | black dress | pink suede pump | green blazer | polka dot dress | laptop backpack | crystal embellished mules | pink pants

I love that blue sweater on you!
So much to say! First off; I’m not sure if I ever told you that I have that exact shoe canvas and that my closet is pink too! Twins! 🙂 I love your work OOTD’s that you’ve been sharing, and this one is so cute. I’m also a bit obsessed with that neon pink dress. WOW! Can it be Spring yet? Hope you guys have a good weekend!
