It has been a lot few weeks here in D.C. After starting the summer off on a cool and rainy note, the traditional D.C. heat and humidity came back a few weeks ago in full force. I’m always looking for ways to beat the heat, whether it is with cool dress or summertime treats and these limeade popsicles. The perfect cooling dessert or snack, you will be making this easy recipe for the rest of summer!
Limeade Popsicles
I have always been a fan of popsicles and remember enjoying them all the time growing up. Last summer, I found these cute popsicle molds that I used to make these rose popsicles (see the recipe here!). I love that this mold allows you to make popsicles from scratch that are slightly healthier than the store-bought versions. I thought it was time to break out the mold again and try a different kind of homemade popsicle.
I’m a huge fan of lemonade but limeade is even more delicious and refreshing in my book. Maybe because it’s less widely available, but if I ever see limeade on a menu, I always order it. While I was at the grocery store a few weeks ago, I spotted limeade in their summer promotional section. While this limeade would be just as good to drink, I instantly thought of these popsicle molds. I had been wanting to use them again and this was the perfect opportunity! For reference, I used a Wegman’s brand of limeade (see it here) but this limeade would also be a good option.
If you are not a fan of limeade or prefer regular lemonade, raspberry lemonade or any other beverage, you could easily make them into popsicles as well! Check out this recipe below. I hate to even call it that because it’s literally pouring liquid into the mold and letting it freeze! You can’t beat this refreshing treat’s simplicity!
