New Makeup and Skincare Finds
Although I pay pretty close attention to my skin all year round, it’s always this time of the year that I start to pay extra attention. As we head into the colder months, my dry skin becomes even more dry and I always love trying out the latest in the makeup and skincare world. Also, all the holiday sets start to arrive — perfect for yourself or any beauty guru on your holiday shopping list! Here are my new makeup and skincare finds that are included in Sephora’s Holiday Bonus Event:
TATCHA Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser
TATCHA is a new to me brand and I’m completely obsessed. This one step oil was my first purchase from the brand and what made me fall in love with everything TATCHA! This oil cleanser is amazing — it cleans your face and removes all of your makeup. Even waterproof mascara! And it leaves your face feeling so soft and clean.
To use, I use two pumps in my dry hands and rub into my dry face. Once the oil is worked into my skin, I use a face cloth and warm water to remove the oil and makeup. I always used makeup remover wipes because they are quick and easy. But, I always found them to dry out my face. This oil cleanser does the exact opposite. I can’t believe how hydrated my skin feels after using this cleansing oil! This is the first step in my nighttime skincare routine. See the next two products for the next steps! Shop the Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser here.
TATCHA Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser
Since starting with TATCHA’s products, I have been using this double cleanse method (oil cleanser and deep cleanser) at night and have noticed a huge difference. Once I remove my makeup with the oil cleanser (above) I splash water on my face and with wet hands, I squeeze a small amount of this Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser into my hand and rub together until a creamy foam forms.
There are exfoliating beads in the cleanser which help to purify and unclog your pores without drying out your skin. For extra exfoliating, I sometimes use the face cloth to work the cleanser into my face. However, usually I just rinse the cleanser off with warm water. It’s difficult to believe, but your face feels ever softer after using this deep cleanser. The oil and deep cleansers are a great one-two punch for your nighttime skin routine. Shop the Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser here.
TATCHA Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream
After using up my nighttime eye cream, I was searching for a new product to try. Since I was on this TATCHA kick, I decided to give the Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream a try. And wow, I’m so thrilled I did! Although this eye cream is a little on the expensive side, a little goes a long way. One of the things I look for in an eye cream is how hydrating it is, and this one doesn’t disappoint.
A hydrating eye cream is especially important for your nighttime skincare. And while this eye cream could be used for daytime (your foundation and concealer would go over this with such ease!) or evening, I was looking for an night eye cream and couldn’t be happier with this one. This eye cream is designed to help with fine lines, wrinkles and dryness. Shop the Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream here.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Kit
I’ve shared my love for Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks both on the blog and on Instagram, so when I saw that Sephora is selling a lip kit featuring my go-to color, I knew it had to be included in today’s post! Pillow talk is my new, favorite, everyday lip color. It’s basically a neutral with a little color. I’m a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks — they stay on almost all day! With this particular lip kit, you get the lip liner and the lipstick — a $45 value for $35.
The idea behind this lip kit is that the pillow talk shade allows you to re-shape and re-size your lips since it is the perfect nude pink color. I don’t use it for any re-shaping or re-sizing, but I do love the color! And to have a liner and lipstick that is the perfect match is always a plus! Although it is not included in the kit, I usually finish off the pillow talk liner and lipstick with this gloss, which is also included in the sale! Shop the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Kit here.
Korres Wild Rose Foaming Cream Cleanser
I know, another cleanser — I have a skincare obsession! This was first purchased a few months ago when I was trying to find cleaner beauty brands and have been loving it! I have three cleansers I use depending on the occasion: the TATCHA I mentioned above, this Korres Wild Rose Foaming Cream Cleanser for days before I work out, and a purifying gel cleanser on days when I’m showering and going straight to work.
Usually, I go to Orangetheory Tuesday and Thursday mornings and since I don’t shower until after class, and still want to wash my face before working out, I use this Korres cleanser. I can’t stand having my nighttime creams, oils and serums on my face while working out so washing my face first thing in the morning is a must. This foaming cream cleanser works with all skin types and helps with dryness (perfect as we head into the colder months no matter what kind of skin!) while the rose oil helps with any skin impurities and uneven skin tone. And the smell! You all know how much I love rose anything! Shop the Korres Wild Rose Foaming Cream Cleanser here.
As I mentioned, the Sephora sales are a great opportunity to try something new or stock up on your favorites. The following are things I will be purchasing again because I need to re-stock!
FARSÁLI Rose Gold 24K Skin Mist
I tried this skin misting spray during the last Sephora sale and I am hooked! For as long as I can remember, I used this makeup setting spray and I always thought it was great. But after reading some reviews of FARSÁLI’s Rose Gold 24K Skin Mist, I decided to give it a try. Not only does this spray set your makeup (and it literally makes your makeup last all.day.long) it also hydrates your skin are gives you a natural glow that will last all day. And it’s not just for setting your makeup! Use it by itself or even as a primer under your makeup! I love that this product not only functions as makeup, but it’s also doing something great for your skin, too. I will be buying at least two bottles of this during this sale! Shop the FARSÁLI Rose Gold 24K Skin Mist here.
KÉRASTASE Densifique Bodifying Shampoo and Conditioner
I’ve shared my love for Kérastase countless times here on A Blonde’s Moment. It’s the only shampoo and conditioner I use! You can see all my posts on Kérastase here. And while I have bought and tried just about every shampoo and conditioner from the brand, there is one combination that I keep coming back to: the Densifique Bodifying shampoo and conditioner. I have a lot of hair, but it’s super fine. This shampoo and conditioner duo adds body and fullness to my hair like no other product I have ever tried! Not only do the products make my hair look fuller, it also works to strengthen my hair.
I still use this duo that helps to strengthen damaged ends and this duo to hydrate my blonde locks, but if I were to pick an everyday shampoo and conditioner, it’s 100% the Densifique Bodifying Shampoo and Conditioner. I will be stocking up on this during the sale! Shop Kérastase Densifique Bodifying shampoo here and the conditioner here.
Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer
Before this past May, I had used the same concealer for what seems like forever. However, it wasn’t providing as much coverage (especially under my eyes) as I needed. After trying a few in store, I settled on this Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer. It provides a little more coverage than my old concealer, but it’s not overdone or cakey. Especially for under my eyes, it provides just enough glow to brighten my undereyes naturally. For reference, I am wearing the color “fairest”. If you are looking for a concealer with more coverage, this is a great option. Shop Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer here.
