I have used the same work bag for years. And when I say years, I’m not kidding. While I was interning in D.C. the summer before my senior year of college, my husband (then boyfriend) bought me this Longchamp tote. I have carried it to death and believe it or not, it’s still in great shape! And that was 10 years ago!! But, after having some neck problems (you may remember me talking about the most amazing neck massager that has saved my life in this post) I decided I needed a bag that was more friendly on my back and neck. This laptop backpack has been a lifesaver! Today, I’m unpacking my bag to give you a peek of what’s inside and talk all about the bag’s features. Here is what’s in my work bag:

What’s in My Work Bag

As much as I love my Longchamp bag (don’t get me wrong, I still use and love it!) given it’s tote-like shape, it’s easy to just throw things in. Subsequently, those things usually get lost. Happen to anyone else? I can’t tell you the number of times I start searching for a pen or lipstick or something else and I find myself digging for it in my tote.

Since I have my regular 9-5 job and ABM, I usually am always traveling with my laptop. Sometimes, my lunch break at work is spent blogging, catching up on emails or doing other things for ABM. Not only is the laptop a necessary item in my work bag, but also my phone charger and external charger, earphones and of course my agenda. And since the majority of my day is spent in front of a computer screen, whether it be work or blog related, these blue light computer glasses have come in handy.

Why I Love the CALPAK Laptop Backpack

The first thing that attracted me to this bag was the backpack style. Backpacks are super trendy right now and after neck and back problems, the backpack style has been super helpful. With two main compartments, there is room for just about everything in this bag. My laptop fits perfectly in the padded section. This separate compartment can hold up to a 15 inch device! With multiple interior and exterior pockets, there is room for your keys, chargers, lipstick or anything else you may need! Another feature of this bag is the “trolley pass-through sleeve” on the back of the bag. Although I haven’t used this feature yet, it allows you to connect the bag to your suitcase for a practical carry-on bag solution.
