Happy Monday, friends! I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to spring. From the colors to the warmer weather, I’m counting down the days. We had a taste of spring last week — it was in the 60s on Friday! — and it had me thinking about my spring wardrobe. It’s never too soon to start planning! Today, I am rounding up three of my must-have spring layers. These three layers are closet staples that you will be able to wear to transition to spring and all spring long.

The Trench Coat
Ahh the trench coat. One of my favorite fall and spring layers, this trench coat is most definitely a closet staple. Wear it casually with jeans (as I did above) or pair it with dress pants for the perfect spring wear to work coat. Not only is the weight of the trench coat ideal for the spring temperatures, but the khaki color is super versatile. I styled my trench more casually here with jeans, a white tee, a blush pink scarf and accessories. I love the blush pink with the khaki coat, it’s such a fresh and springy combination! You can see more trench coat options below.

The Utility Jacket
Another versatile jacket, the utility jacket is one of my favorites because it can be worn casually with jeans and even more casually with leggings and other activewear. It’s not a heavy fabric, so it’s ideal for the spring temperatures. I picked up this utility jacket a few years ago, but it’s such a closet staple that it is still available. I also love the olive green color — it’s a great neutral that can be paired with so many things in your closet. From patterns like check and leopard to solids like white or grey, it can be styled with just about anything. You can see more utility jacket options below.

Long Cardigans
One of my favorite purchases from last year, I wore this blush pink cardigan all spring. I also purchased it in black and I’m happy to see that it has returned this year. Available in several colors and under $70, the linen blend fabric is perfect for the spring weather. A cardigan, no matter short or long, is a wardrobe essential in the spring and there is nothing better than blush pink during this time of the year. Like so many pieces I share, you can easily dress the cardigan up for work or wear it more casually with jeans depending on your other accessories. You can see more long cardigan options below.

Love all of these looks! That trench is so perfect! And you can never go wrong with a long cardigan for layering!!
Spring is actually my least favorite, for some reason..but I DO love the colors! The soft colors mean summer is on it’s way, and that’s something I can get excited about 🙂 You look so pretty in these pastel pinks. Hope you guys had a great weekend, Rachel!

Spring will be here before we know it and I think everyone is excited! This Winter has been brutal and thinking of warm weather helps thaw those cold weather blues. I own a similar utility jacket and love it to pieces. It goes so well with so many outfits and I can’t wait to wear it again. Love your pink cardigan, beautiful color and love the longer length.

I wish I could find a trench coat! Every one I seem to try just doesn’t fit quite right. A trench is definitely at the top of my list of things to find for spring.
