Although the temperatures have warmed up here in Northern Virginia, it was absolutely freezing here last weekend. The temperature on my car read -2! I had never seen a negative number on my car before. I obviously had to take a picture to document it! Regardless, I had been searching for a warm coat since the fall. Appropriately named “the perfect winter parka”, this coat is cute, warm and is even lined with blush pink!

The Perfect Winter Parka

I definitely have a thing for coats and I am the first to confess that I have far too many. But, I was looking to add a more versatile, casual coat to my collection for winter. I have a long puffy parka from J.Crew and it’s super warm. However, it is quite puffy. I wanted a coat that had a little more of a fitted silhouette. When I saw this one, I knew it checked all the boxes: it was warm but more fitted than a puffer jacket and I loved the faux fur on the hood. Also available in black, I loved the green because it was something different. Oh, and the coat has a blush pink lining! I was perfectly warm in this perfect winter parka — I have hardly stopped wearing it since I got it!

Leopard Beanie

When we shot these pictures last weekend, it was in the single digits with the wind chill below 0. I didn’t want to wear gloves for the pictures (I’m paying for that now — my hands are so dry!) but I did want to include this cute leopard beanie. I bought this beanie two falls ago and each time it came back in stock, it would sell out super fast. But, it looks like it is currently in stock and on sale for under $10!
