tie-waist shirtdress | bow mule | sleeveless pleated a-line dress | polka dot blouse | wrap tie jumpsuit | straight jean | wrap trench coat | satchel | pencil skirt
A complete diversion from Monday’s post, today it’s all about spring neutrals. As much as I love bright colors, there is definitely a time and place for neutrals. Especially in the spring. Not only are these pieces of a neutral color palette, but they are also basics that can be worn countless ways. Here are 9 must-have spring neutrals to add to your closet:
9 Must-Have Spring Neutrals
A spring wardrobe is not complete without neutral pieces. Whether you prefer a complete neutral spring wardrobe or using these neutral pieces as a base to add color through accessories, these are a few of my must-have spring neutral closet staples:
- This tie-waist shirtdress is a simple and easy spring dress. Wear it to work with heels or pair it with sandals for a casual weekend look. This dress is a classic that can be styled countless ways.
- I love wearing mules in the springtime, and these blush pink mules (available in several other colors here) feature the cutest bow detail. Wear these with jeans and a casual top for a cute casual outfit.
- Speaking of a casual top, this polka dot blouse is the definition of the perfect spring piece. I love polka dots all year round, but they seem particularly fitting in the spring. Dress this blouse up with a skirt or pants for work or wear it with these jeans and mules for weekend-wear!
- A jumpsuit is a closet essential. While there are SO many to pick from for spring, I, of course, love this particular one with the bow detail. I never turn down a bow! Like so many of these spring neutrals, this jumpsuit can be dressed up or down just by changing up the accessories.
- The wrap trench coat. I have searched for a wrap winter coat for years (still looking!) but when I saw the style in a trench coat version, I had to share! A trench coat is a great layer for spring. And I love that this wrap style is different from the classic trench.
- I always love finding a good pair of jeans. Did you catch my new favorite pair of black jeans from Monday’s post? However, for a lighter wash, I love this straight leg style with a high-rise. You can’t beat that high-rise style! My initial read on these jeans was very Meghan Markle (pre-wedding). What do you think?
- If you are thinking about adding a new handbag to your collection for spring, this brown satchel has a sophisticated silhouette featuring rose gold hardware and an optional shoulder strap. It’s very work appropriate, too!
- Lastly, this pencil skirt is 9 to 5 chic! Pair this skirt with a blouse or light sweater for the perfect workday outfit. And it’s under $70! If you are looking for less neutral and more color, this skirt is also available in a green palm print that is gorgeous! See it here.
Thanks for stopping by, friends! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
