Homemade Christmas Gifts

Sometimes the best gifts are of the homemade variety. A few years ago, I made all sorts of holiday treats and wrapped them up in cute packaging to give as Christmas gifts for my parents and in-laws. I actually did a post about it here, way back in the beginning stages of A Blonde’s Moment! Not only was it fun to make these holiday treats, it was a not so typical gift for the recipients too. I also made peppermint bark a few years ago for my office and packaged them in Mason Jars. It made for a cute and colorful office gift.

Peppermint Bark

There are lots of options when it comes to baking treats to give as gifts for the holiday. But peppermint bark always seems to be a favorite. A very addicting favorite! I remember the first time I heard of peppermint bark was when I spotted it at Williams-Sonoma. Although I thought the packaging was cute, I knew this was one thing that was easy to re-create in my own kitchen. As for the peppermint bark, it is only two ingredients and can be made in under 10 minutes. Super simple! When I first made peppermint bark a few years ago, I had to break up the candy canes by hand to get the pieces. But this year, I found peppermint that was already broken at the grocery store. A timesaver for an already quick recipe!

When it comes to packaging the peppermint bark, I always like to use a clear container so you can see the festive treat. I like using a container like the one pictured or a Mason Jar, but any container will do the trick. Check out this easy homemade peppermint bark recipe below!

  1. I love giving homemade gifts as Christmas presents, especially to friends and neighbors. This looks so delicious. I’m afraid if I made it, there would not be enough left to gift haha!

  2. This is one of my favorite holiday treats!! I always think about buying the WS stuff, but then I remember… why would I!? I can make it at home and it’s just as tasty! (Probably more fresh, too, lol)
