Small Business Holiday Gift Guide

small business holiday gift guide

Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, even if it looked a little different this year. Now, with the holiday season right around the corner, my first gift guide of the year is here. It’s been a tough year for so many people, including small businesses. Since March, we have been trying to support small businesses in anyway we can, whether it’s getting takeout from our favorite restaurant or shopping at small shops in the area. As I start to mark items off my Christmas shopping list, I have been trying to shop at small businesses when I can. Today, I am sharing a list of my favorite small businesses (with online shops!) in case you want to shop small this year.

Small Business Holiday Gift Guide

one // Pet Portrait. I ordered a portrait of Ella a few months ago and finally got it framed. I am excited to hang it on a wall gallery with other pictures in our house. The artist did an amazing job and captured Ella’s personality perfectly! I will share a sneak peek of it on Instagram Stories (@rach.mccarthy) today.

two // Home Portrait. Sticking with the portrait theme, this is another great gift, especially for new homeowners. When we bought our house a little over two years ago, our realtor gifted us a similar, smaller portrait of our house that we still keep on the counter!

three // Little Design Co. I mentioned this a few months ago, but since we have been spending so much more time at home over the past several months, I have been working on a lot of home projects — like Ella’s portrait and the gallery wall! I had been searching for new accent pillows for our bedroom and stumbled upon the Little Design Co. There are so many prints, colors, and styles — I am still trying to decide on a collection for us! They even have ottomans (pictured above). Shop the bolster pillow here, the square pillow here, and the ottoman here.

four // State Wine Glasses. A fun gift for the wine-lover, these state wine glasses would make a great gift. Available as a set of four, you can pick the state’s color and the location and color of the star. I personally love the stemless wine glasses, easier to hold AND wash!

five // IVL Collective. I have shared my love for IVL Collective a few times on the blog and Instagram, and as new collections are released, my love grows deeper! I just bought this pink sparkle print in the sports bra and it’s so pretty! There are a ton of styles, colors, and prints, but my most worn are probably the Everyday Black Leggings and the Leopard Leggings. Shop the scallop bra here and the pink leggings here.

six // Name Necklace. I have had this delicate necklace for over a year and wear it almost everyday! It’s perfect for layering or wearing it on it’s own. Whether you decide to wear your own name, your child’s name, or even your dog’s name like me, this is a great necklace for everyday wear.

seven // Dog Coffee Mug. I am always looking for cute coffee mugs and this one is darling! I actually have this sketch in a print in my office. The pup looks just like Ella! And I love the pink lipstick stain on this mug. Such a cute detail!

eight // Christmas Wreath Dish Towel. I have always loved dish towels and have quite a collection for each season. Dish towels are always a great gift idea for the cook or even as a hostess gift. This small shop also has a great selection of gifts for the home. See the entire selection here.

nine // Steel City. While I realize these items only apply to those that are from, live in, or are fans of Pittsburgh, I wanted to share them nonetheless! From t-shirts and sweatshirts to hats and socks, Steel City has just about everything a Pittsburgh fan could need. You may remember when I mentioned them in this post last year! Shop the hat here and the socks here.

….

Thanks for stopping by, friends! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
