Summer has arrived in D.C.! It was a hot one this past weekend with temperatures approaching the upper 90s. Needless to say, the indoors and air conditioning were our best friends! We did head into D.C. to take these pictures before 7am on Sunday. The early morning and warm temperatures were worth it to capture these images just a few days before the Fourth of July. And whether it’s for the Fourth of July or a date night summer dress, D.C. was the perfect setting for this red summer dress.

Summer Dress Under $70

It’s been the summer of dresses here on A Blonde’s Moment. I’ve shared quite a few lately (most recently, this black maxi). However, this red dress was something different for my closet. I first spotted this v-neck summer dress a few weeks ago and loved the faux wrap style. With a few prints and colors to pick from, I thought the red would be perfect for summer and all the patriotic holidays of summer. Originally, I thought I could also wear this dress to work, but for me it’s probably a little short. However, there are plenty of summer opportunities for this dress. Style it with dress sandals, like I did here, for a summer date night outfit or dress it down with sandals for a cool summer weekend dress.

As for accessories, I went with a beige clutch and sandals, but you could easily pair the dress with black accessories, too. One note on the “faux wrap”: I did wear a camisole under the dress because there was a little gap where the dress “wraps”. Overall, this dress fits true to size and is a great summer dress at an even better price!
