Breaking news, friends. I have found the must-have sundress for summer! This dress was a last minute purchase that I found the night before leaving for California. And boy, am I glad I got it! The print, colors, and fun ruffle hem make this tropical print maxi dress the must-have sundress for summer.

Tropical Print Maxi Dress
As I was walking to the checkout, I spotted this bright print and instantly stopped in my tracks. The vibrant colors and fun summer print were just perfect for our trip west! Then I saw the maxi length and the cutest dress detail ever: a ruffle hem. Bonus points that it’s under $40! I ran to the dressing room to try the number on and the medium fit. However, I did have quite a bit of room in the top and the straps were a little big. I probably could have tried on the small, but I liked the length of high-low ruffle hem in the front, so I stuck with the medium. I’m 5’8 for reference.
We took these pictures before leaving Santa Barbara for Palm Springs. It was pretty chilly until we made it to the desert, so I paired the dress with a denim jacket. It was a great accessory! As for the rest of the accessories, I went with my go-to wedges and circle straw bag. I tried to pack relatively light for our trip so there was a lot of re-wearing of shoes and handbags. This is quite the accomplishment for me!
