Waffle Knit Cardigan

free people cardigan outfit

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful
weekend! I was busy running around all day Saturday for a pretty busy week. But
more on that later. Today’s look is all about spring and summer layers.
Although the temperatures can get pretty warm in the D.C. area during the summer months, there are some
cool nights when a lightweight cardigan is the ideal accessory.

Waffle Knit Cardigan: Free People | White Tee: Nordstrom | Jeans: Articles of Society {under $60!} | Espadrilles: Marc Fisher | Bag: Tory Burch {new version HERE} | Earrings: Sheila Fajl | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Lipstick: #47 & #200
I wore this cardigan for my flight out to the west coast
yesterday and it was SO comfy. I saw it online a few weeks ago and knew I had
to have it. This waffle fabric makes for the perfect sweater for spring, and
even as we head into summer. Also available in a gorgeous coral, I personally couldn’t
resist this green shade — it’s such a fresh color for the season. I just love the way it looks with all white and the tan
accessories, too. One more piece to note before I wrap up today’s post: I had been
looking for a pair of distressed white jeans for the majority of spring and I came
across these about 2 months ago. They are under $60 and are so soft and
comfortable – it doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing jeans! As for sizing, I
went down a size and they fit perfectly.

I apologize for the short post — I am typing this from
35,000 feet on my way to LA for a special event that I cannot wait to share
with you on Thursday! If you want a peek ahead of time, be sure to follow along
on Instagram {rach.mccarthy} and Snapchat {rach.mccarthy7}. Have a great start to the week and see you
back here tomorrow for healthy spin on a favorite comfort food!

  1. I am all about layers too – there is such fluctuation with weather here this time of year you just have to be prepared!! How exciting that you're on your way to LA – can't wait to find out more! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

  2. I absolutely adore this cardigan! The color is so pretty and looks wonderful on you and paired with the all white and tan accents. Now you have me curious to know what you're doing in LA, haha, I'll definitely be peeping your IG! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and have a wonderful week ahead!

  3. What a pretty cardigan. So fun, unique and oversized. I would have chosen the green over the coral too because it is more different. Welcome by Thursdays and linkup with me pretty lady. Love your style. =)
