Hi friends! How crazy is it to think that this week is the last official week of summer? And while this is my last summery outfit post until next year, I am going out with a bang. Here is to a colorful end of summer and some of my favorite pieces from the season:

Hi friends! Sorry for the radio silence the past few days over here on ABM. Saturday night around 7 p.m. we had a terrible storm and lost our power. It was a super hot weekend. The temperatures ended up climbing into the high 90s and we had no power or air conditioning. It was rough, especially on Ella. The power was finally restored Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. I had a lot planned for Sunday: the week’s blog work, outfit pictures and food pictures. Needless to say, none of that happened without electricity! You never realize how thankful you are for something until you don’t have it! Anyways, I’m back with a new Wednesday Wishes today featuring the best animal print for fall.
I have used the same work bag for years. And when I say years, I’m not kidding. While I was interning in D.C. the summer before my senior year of college, my husband (then boyfriend) bought me this Longchamp tote. I have carried it to death and believe it or not, it’s still in great shape! And that was 10 years ago!! But, after having some neck problems (you may remember me talking about the most amazing neck massager that has saved my life in this post) I decided I needed a bag that was more friendly on my back and neck. Actually, it was in the 60s during Ella’s walk Saturday morning. It really makes me excited for fall! When I first started ABM in November of 2013 (wow, has it really been that long!), Wednesday Wishes was a chance to share what I was currently craving. I haven’t shared a currently craving post in quite awhile and I realize I need to get back to it! Today’s currently craving: August 2019 is a mix of wear now and wear into fall pieces. And I feel like this collage represents my general feeling about the end of summer. I’m dreaming of cooler temperatures but trying to be realistic when dressing for the 90 degree temperatures!
We have been on a real Mexican food kick the past few weeks. No matter what time of the year, we probably eat Mexican at least one time per week. It’s one of our favorites! But since it is summer and we are able to use the grill, I am trying to use it as much as possible. Taking recipes that I usually make in the kitchen and moving them to the grill has been a fun spin on our usual weekly menu lineup.
