With the temperatures heating up, it’s not only time to discuss summer fashion, but summer beauty as well. And for today’s post, I am focusing on the best nail colors for summer. These colors are my go-to all summer long!

Best Nail Colors for Summer

When it comes to nail polish, I am pretty predictable. Light, neutral shades and pinks in the spring and summer, darker colors in the fall and red around Christmas. But of all the seasons, summer is my favorite set of colors. And while I don’t like anything too crazy (I love a clean look on my nails) these are great colors to wear throughout the spring and summer. In the beauty category, my nail polish colors are my most frequently asked question so I thought I would share a few of my favorites:

OPI Funny Bunny

I have always loved the idea of white nails. However, until I discovered OPI’s Funny Bunny, most whites were too white for my skin tone. This softer white works well with most skin tones (even the palest like mine!) and is buildable. For reference, I am wear three coats of the shade in the above image. Funny Bunny looks great on it’s own, or if you like the look of a French Manicure, using this white on the tips of your nails isn’t as drastic as a bright white. CND Weekly Polish: Romantique

While I am on a Funny Bunny (see above) kick right now, CND Weekly Polishes are my probably my favorite. And my favorite color and the one that I wear the most, regardless of the season, is Romantique. Similar to Funny Bunny but not as white. I typically wear two to three coats, depending on the shade I’m going for. I find CND Weekly Polish to be super easy to apply and I love the fast dry time. As for Romantique, it’s a semi-sheer polish that has a little more pink in the color, although the bottle does not photograph that here! CND Weekly Polish: Cake Pop

Another CND Weekly Polish, Cake Pop (pictured on the right) is my go-to if I’m look for a soft pink color. I also wear this color a ton in the spring! As you can see from the picture, the Romantique (pictured left) has a little pink in it, but is mostly a neutral. If you are a fan of Essie’s Fiji (circa three to four years ago before the formula was changed) you would love Cake Pop. I had this color on my toe nails in this post. CND Weekly Hot Pop Pink

Last, but not least, this hot pink color from CND weekly has summer written all over it! I don’t often wear hot pink on my fingernails (maybe once a summer). However, by middle to late summer, you will always find this color on my toenails! This pink is bright and compliments all the bright shades of summer perfectly. Like with Romantique and Cake Pop above, Hot Pop Pink is part of CND’s weekly collection and that lasts for just about a week.
