Easy Black and White Outfit for Spring

This spring, I have been sticking to a lot of basics. Blame it on the crazy weather, but I haven’t bought too many spring pieces because I really haven’t had a chance to wear them! Keeping with classic pieces like my go-to jeans, long cardigan and white shirt are a great way to create an easy black and white outfit for spring.

Easy Black & White Outfit for Spring

Staple pieces like this white top and long black cardigan are always great for this in between time of the year. They are pretty universal to seasons and easy to make weather appropriate with accessories and shoes. This top is from cabi’s fall collection and I love it’s fun twist on the always classic white shirt. The shorter style is perfect for styling with high waisted pants and with it’s cute ruffle hem, no tuck needed! As for the cardigan, I have raved about this cardigan a few times on ABM (most recently here). I love it in the blush pink, but I probably wear the black just as much! It’s especially great for work.

We took these photos a few weeks ago, but I think the temperatures were more spring-like that weekend then they are now! I added my new favorite espadrilles to finish this easy black and white outfit for summer.

We are celebrating Miss Ella’s birthday this weekend at the beach and are looking forward to (hopefully!) warmer temperatures. Each year, we take Ella to the beach to celebrate. Although Ella’s birthday is in March, we pushed back the date since Richard has been traveling for work. We are hoping that waiting a few weeks will at least give us some warmer temperatures!   13. I’m with you on buying Spring pieces…I’ve held off because our weather has been so weird, like everyone else…and now that its warming up a little..I can’t find anything cute that I really love! But this look is great for this transitional weather, and is so perfect for the office too! Happy Happy Birthday to sweet Ella, I saw that cute pic on Insta at the beach! 🙂
