Must-Have Spring Cardigan

grey jeans blush sweater outfit

At the beginning of spring, I shared a list of my 3 must-have layers for spring (post here). I have re-styled the utility jacket countless times (last seen here) and today I am re-styling my favorite spring cardigan. The color, lightweight style and length are just a few of the reasons why this is a must-have spring cardigan.

Must-Have Spring Cardigan

While these pictures were taken when it was warmer in the D.C. area, this long, linen sweater was the perfect layer for a spring day. This cardigan is an older purchase, but Nordstrom has brought it back again this year. I own the sweater in a few colors, but this blush shade was too hard to pass on — it’s one of my favorite colors for spring! It is available in a seven colors (see the full selection here) and is priced under $70. As for sizing, Nordstrom recommends sizing down, but I am wearing my true size, a medium, in this sweater. I like my clothes more oversized so I stuck with my true size for this cardigan.

I have always loved the blush pink and grey combination, so these jeans were an easy choice for this outfit. If you think these jeans look familiar, you are right! In Monday’s post, I wore them in green and just wait for next Monday’s post. The obsession is real! I honestly can’t say enough great things about these cabi jeans. I have had the grey and green since last spring and summer and have worn them a bunch. They are soft, comfortable and I love the zip detail on the front! (Hint: this spring, cabi has made them in white! I will be styling them here on Monday.)

The last time I wore this sweater (see the post here), I styled it with regular jeans and blush lace up flats. Since we were experiencing more spring-like temperatures a few weeks ago, I paired this outfit with my latest Target find: blush suede sandals. Complete with a block heel, I will be wearing these cute sandals all spring and summer long! Best part: they are under $30!

  2. I can’t wait to check out all of the colors this cardi comes in! I can’t believe 7! But I think I might be biased to the pink, it looks so good on you, Rachel! I love how soft and airy it is for Spring. And it’s most definitely something I could wear to work. which means I may need it in additional colors 🙂 Hope you guys have a great weekend!

  3. I just love this pink! And your bag is precious, too. I have a similar but even lighter weight pink cardigan I got at J.Jill last year and I love wearing it with just a same-hued pink tank. Such an understated beauty! I love your blog!!!
