Welcome to June, friends! Where is this year going?! With summer just a few weeks away, I am kicking off June with one of my favorite foods of the season: s’mores. And not just any kind of s’more. Reese’s Peanut Butter S’mores.

Summer Watermelon Salad
Summer and Memorial Day are just around the corner and today I am sharing one of my favorite side salads for the summer. We made this easy summer watermelon salad countless times last summer and already once this summer! With only a few ingredients, this summer dish is the perfect compliment for your next BBQ!
Peach Caprese Salad
I have never met a caprese salad I did not like. This peach caprese salad included! While the traditional version of this salad featuring tomatoes, mozzarella and basil will always be my favorite, I spotted this peach caprese recipe in the new Magnolia Table cookbook (buy it here) and I knew I had to try it.

My Trader Joe’s Top Five
I don’t know about you, but I always like reading about new food finds. I shared a few of my favorite healthy snacks (post here) with you a few months ago and now I’m back with a Trader Joe’s edition. As much as I love sharing new recipes with you each week, all the recipes start with some of my favorite ingredients and this post gives me a chance to share a few of the products I’m loving. We have a Trader Joe’s pretty close to our house and I always love checking out their newest selection. Although I don’t find Trader Joe’s to be a great place to find your “everyday” groceries, it is good for specialty products and snacks. Here is my Trader Joe’s top five products.
Ella’s Birthday Pupcakes
A few weeks ago, our puppy, Ella, celebrated her 6th birthday. It’s hard to believe that she has been ours for 6 years. It seems like just yesterday we met her for the first time and she could fit in the palm of my hand! If you have been following along for awhile, you probably already know that our world revolves around Ella. You can read a little more about Ella in this post. From Halloween costume contests (post here) to trips to the wineries (post here) and to the beach, Ella is one spoiled pup!
A birthday isn’t complete without birthday cake, dogs included! I found this recipe for a dog birthday cake and knew I had to make it for Ella. Given Ella’s size, I decided to make them into “pupcakes” so she could enjoy them across several sittings and give them to some of her dog friends. Ella’s Birthday Pupcakes were a hit! And now she has added a new word to her vocabulary: birthday cake.
Avocado Caprese Chicken
I have shared my love for weeknight dinners on the grill before (most recently in this post). Since we had a few warmer days in March, we have already used the grilled quite a bit this spring. I made this Avocado Caprese Chicken a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to share it with all of you. This easy grilled dinner is perfect for weeknights or anytime you are looking for a quick dinner. Pair it with a salad, rice or even pasta, this Avocado Caprese Chicken is a new favorite in our house.
Fried Green Tomatoes
I am not one to eat fried food that often, but there is one fried food I will always make an exception for: fried green tomatoes. If I am at a restaurant with this delicious southern appetizer on the menu, you can bet I am ordering it. I hesitate to declare a “favorite” but fried green tomatoes are definitely high on my list of favorite foods. And while I have found some restaurants that have pretty good fried green tomatoes, I figured it was time to make my own. After trying a few recipes, I have finally found one that is a winner.
Lemon Asparagus Risotto
Risotto is one of my favorite weekend meals to make at home. It’s a frequent dinner in our house, especially in the fall and winter. There are so many delicious risotto ingredients during that time of the year! However, I do have one favorite spring risotto that is becoming my go-to: lemon asparagus risotto. A bright and fresh spring meal, this springtime risotto is a delicious and easy weekend dinner recipe.
