My purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale have finally arrived and I wanted to share my thoughts on my purchases. I was pretty honest about my feelings about the sale in this post. However, the majority of the few items I ordered were pretty good. Here is a recap of my NSale Purchases: The Good & The Bad.

2021 NSale
It’s that time of the year: The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Whether you hate it or love it, there is no denying it is one of the biggest pre-season sales of the year. Today I am sharing what’s in my cart and my thoughts on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Also, at the end, I am sharing products I have purchased in the past that are included in the sale that I would re-purchase.
What’s in My Cart
First, let’s take a look at what’s in my cart. I will get into more details later, but to summarize, not much. I was underwhelmed with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. And honestly, I have been for the past few years. These are a few basic pieces that are in my cart this year:
Leopard Pajamas: I buy these pajamas every sale. I think I am up to six pairs! But these are the only pajamas I wear because they are beyond comfortable. Nordstrom suggests to size down, but I stick with my true size. I like my pajamas on the bigger side.
Pink Slippers: Another purchase that I make each Anniversary Sale. I am still wearing my pink slippers from the last sale. And since I am still working from home, they get a lot more use than years past!
High Waist Ankle Leggings: For the last few years, I have purchased a pair of Zella workout leggings from the sale and they never disappoint! I buy my usual size in these and I love the high waist style for working out.
Blue Sports Bra: I have shared IVL workout pieces a few times here on ABM, but this sports bra style is my favorite! I have it in a few colors, but I love this blue shade. And you can’t beat the Anniversary Sale price. This sports bra runs true to size.
Crystal Embellished Boots: I have been looking for combat-style boots since last fall and I love this particular style. It’s a little combat but a little glam with the crystal details! They would look cute with leggings and an oversized sweater once the temperatures cool down in the fall.
Thoughts on the NSale
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale was always one of my favorite sales of the season. However, the past few years I have been a little underwhelmed. But last year, was just upsetting! The selection was ok, but by the time I was able to shop the sale (since the sale is released to different “tiers” of Nordstrom customers depending on how much you spend in a year) most of what I wanted was sold out. I understand creating “demand” for an item, but when the majority of your wish list is sold out, it becomes frustrating.
Looking at the sale this year, I can honestly say there isn’t much I love. The products I included above are the only items in my shopping cart this year. A super light order for me. Just ask Richard HAHA! I’m not sure if it’s the selection or because I’m still working from home (or a combination of both), but there wasn’t a great selection this year. What are your thoughts?
Items I Would Repurchase
There are a few products that I already have that are included in the Anniversary Sale. Here is a list of a few of them. Scroll through for the complete list:

Happy Wednesday, friends! It has been awhile since I shared a Wednesday Wishes post and what better way to bring the series back than with a color crush post! Ironically, I am sharing a shades of green color crush post on St. Patrick’s Day; however, these shades of green have been some of my favorite recently. Here are my finds for this spring’s color crush: shades of green.
Color Crush: Shades of Green
Green is always a great color for spring — there is something so new and fresh about the shade. Over the past few weeks, I have really been gravitating towards all different shades of green. It all started with this green and white stripe shirt. I fell in love with the color, ordered it, and I’m actually wearing it today! The shirt is designed to be a little oversized, so I ordered my usual size. Also available in other colors if green isn’t your thing!
A few other pieces to highlight from this set: I have been missing my dress collection — I feel like I haven’t worn a dress since I was in my office over a year ago! I love this tiered maxi dress. It would be perfect for a bridal or baby shower, wedding, or even Easter. And this fit and flare dress just screams vacation! It would be so darling styled with a cute pair of sandals.
As for accessories, you can never go wrong with a headband in my opinion! I love the pearl details on this headband. I also love these fun artichoke statement earrings — the shades of green are bright and fresh and so perfect for this post!

Recent Work from Home Outfits
Work outfits sure have changed a lot in the past year! When the pandemic first started, I fully embraced the opportunity to wear more casual clothing. That was when this was only going to last two weeks! However, as the weeks went on (I can’t believe it’s been an entire year) I started to dress up a little more for two reasons: 1) I found I was more productive when I was dressed and in “work” clothes and 2) I missed my clothes! Here are some recent work from home outfits:
Best Amazon Purchases of 2020
Hi friends! It’s been awhile! I’m sorry that I left you hanging — I had good intentions to share this post back in January. But the past almost two months has been a blur. More on that in a bit! Today I am back with my best Amazon purchases of 2020. Amazon came in super handy (especially during the early days of the pandemic) and some of my favorite Amazon purchases ever happened in 2020. Here is a recap!
Best Purchases of 2020
1. gold foil leggings | 2. pearl embellished boots | 3. detangling brush | 4. body wash | 5. lipgloss | 6. animal print silk face mask | 7. colorblock pullover | 8. animal print blanket
While 2020 was a different year (in many regards!) there were still a lot of favorite products purchased across those 12 months! You can see last year’s round up here. And while the products were a little different from years past — think cozy, stay at home products — these are a few of my favorite finds of all time! Here are my best purchases of 2020:
Best Purchases of 2020
1. Gold Foil Leggings
Leggings were the pants of choice in 2020 and these are some of my favorite yet! I have raved about this brand before, but these gold foil leggings are my latest find. This gold foil print makes working out more fun. I love to wear it with the matching sports bra and a black tank!
2. Pearl Embellished Boots
The perfect way to dress up an outfit, I first fell in love with these pearl embellished boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. When I first saw them, they reminded me of the Gucci pair, at a fraction of the price! Super comfortable and by far my favorite shoe purchase of 2020. I’m usually a size 9.5 but I sized up to a 10.
3. Detangling Brush
My detangling brush that I have had for years broke in half (!!) and I was in desperate need of a new one. My hair gets super tangled when I get out of the shower and I usually have to use a detangling spray to get my hair in order. But, with this new detangling brush, it works so well, I don’t even need the spray!
4. Body Wash
If you follow along on Instagram, I talked a little bit about this brand on Friday. I had seen so many ads on Instagram for this brand, I finally decided to give it a try. I will say, for body wash, it is pricey. That was one of the reasons why I was hesitant to try it. But, after using it, I’m hooked and completely believe all the hype with this brand. A little goes a long way and bubbles form pretty easily. I can’t believe how soft my skin feels after using this — I have the most dry skin! It is available in a few scents, including fragrance free, but my favorite is the eucalyptus. I purchased a few other products from the brand since trying the body wash, and everything is amazing!
5. Gloss Bomb Lipgloss in $weetmouth
I bought this lipgloss on a whim at the beginning of quarantine and can’t believe how much I love it! I had planned to wear it as a gloss over this lipstick, but have found myself wearing it over other colors and mostly, on it’s own! The color, $weetmouth, is a shimmering soft pink. This gloss leaves your lips feeling smooth, hydrated (not sticky!), and fuller. I’m looking forward to trying other colors.
6. Animal Prink Silk Face Mask
I never thought a face mask would make a “best purchases of” post, but here we are! After almost a year (hard to believe) of mask-wearing, I can honestly say I don’t enjoy it anymore than I did in March. However, since masking-wearing has become the new normal, this silk mask is the best I have found. It is soft on your skin (and doesn’t make your skin breakout) and it does a pretty good job of keeping your makeup in place. I have seen some reviews that say your lipstick stays on, but for me, it doesn’t take off my lipstick as much as other masks. And I love that the ear loops are adjustable. Makes wearing a mask a little more tolerable.
7. Colorblock Pullover
One of my coziest pullovers, this pullover has been on repeat the majority of fall and winter. It didn’t get a ton of great reviews, but it’s honestly one of my go-to cozy pieces in my closet. It’s TTS (I’m wearing a medium) and I love wearing it with leggings and ankle boots. Super comfortable for wearing around the house or even out and about running errands. This colorblock pullover is on super sale, so scoop it up while you can!
8. Animal Print Blanket
I’ve been a longtime lover of these blankets (and the brand’s sweaters, socks, and even dog sweaters!) but I picked up this color during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it’s my favorite yet. We have a ton of these blankets around the house — they are so soft, comfy, and warm! I keep this new one on our bed and Ella has completely taken it over (see above!). Even though she has her own in a smaller size, she always cuddles up in this larger one! There are a ton of colors and prints available, so there is something for everyone!
….
And that’s a wrap on my best purchases of 2020! I will be sharing a best Amazon purchases of 2020 post next week, so stay tuned for that. Thanks for stopping by, friends! I hope you have a great week!

Thanksgiving 2020 Outfit Ideas
Happy day before Thanksgiving, friends! As I mentioned in last week’s post where I shared the best Thanksgiving recipes (see it here), Thanksgiving will probably look a little different for everyone this year. Not only the food (or amount of food) but also the clothing. While the goal of dressing for Thanksgiving is always comfort, a more casual and comfortable Thanksgiving will be probably be the norm for many of us this year. Here are a few casual and comfortable Thanksgiving 2020 outfit ideas:
Recent Fall #OOTD
Mid-November and we are still working remotely. We first started working from home in mid-March, thinking it would only last for about two weeks. Eight months later and not much has changed. I have learned a lot in these eight months, including that I am much more productive and feel SO much better about myself when I am dressed with my hair and makeup done! However, work outfit of the days are a little more casual these days! Here are a few of my recent fall #OOTD:
