The Best Thanksgiving Recipes

Well hello, friends! It has been a crazy few months, but I am back to share a special Thanksgiving post. How can Thanksgiving be NEXT week? It’s amazing that 2020 seems like it has gone so fast, yet it also feels like it has been the longest year. Today, I am sharing a few of the best Thanksgiving recipes. Not your typical Thanksgiving recipes of stuffing and cranberry sauce, but here are a few dishes that work for not only Thanksgiving, but the entire fall season.

A cheese board is always a great appetizer idea, no matter what season! This particular cheese board is fall-ready with pumpkin spiced pumpkin seeds and cute decorative pumpkins. I always love the idea of a cheese board for an appetizer because it’s not super filling. You do not have to worry about spoiling your main dish.

Not a traditional Thanksgiving salad, but this Kale Caesar Salad is one of my favorites. Swap the usual romaine lettuce for kale and instead of croutons, I roasted chickpeas for a healthy alternative. Easy to toss together and big on flavor, this is one of my favorite salads!

Spiced Wine Cocktail

While our go-to drink for Thanksgiving is wine thanks to Richard’s wine obsession, this spiced wine cocktail is a great and different alternative. With apple cider and cinnamon as two of the main ingredients, it makes for the perfect Thanksgiving cocktail.

When I originally shared this recipe, it was designed to be a “what to do with Thanksgiving leftovers” recipe. But, given the circumstances of Thanksgiving 2020, you may be looking for a way to enjoy turkey without roasting an entire turkey. While this recipe uses leftover turkey, you could easily use a smaller turkey breast. All the flavors of Thanksgiving in one bite!

If you are looking for a dessert recipe that is different from your traditional Thanksgiving pie, these pecan pie cookies are delicious and the perfect sweet treat. These would be great if you are not having a large crowd this Thanksgiving and do not want the leftover pies!

Thanks for stopping by, friends! I will be back later this week with a round-up of recent fall looks, so stay tuned!
