Embroidered Floral Blouse

green jeans outfit idea

Spring has been playing tricks with us here in the D.C. area. February was warmer than March and I’m so afraid that all these pretty buds could be in jeopardy if this weather continues. Since we are experiencing cooler than normal temperatures, I guess we should just embrace it. Muggy summer temperatures will be here before we know it.

Embroidered Floral Blouse

Since we are in the spirit of embracing this weather, I found the perfect top to wear: this embroidered floral blouse. I always struggle with weather and seasonably appropriate pieces for this time of the year. You want to be wearing brighter colors, but it’s still chilly. This sheer top, which I paired with a black camisole, has the sweetest floral embroidery. And the embroidery isn’t the only detail to love. The smocked neckline and cuffed sleeves are fun elements that make this flowy, high-low blouse the perfect top to wear now with green or black jeans and later into spring with white jeans. I love it paired with the green jeans especially this week with St. Patrick’s Day!

Speaking of green jeans (last seen here), these are one of my most-worn, non-denim jeans in my closet. They are also from cabi, but from a previous season. I love the color for both fall and spring. It’s hard to beat a soft and comfy jean and these do not disappoint. I also own them in grey (last seen here) and the jeans are currently available in white for this season (I’ll be sharing another look with the white version next week!). Needless to say, I’m pretty obsessed with this style of cabi jeans!

When I spotted this beautiful, blossoming tree, I knew it would be the perfect backdrop for this floral blouse. Hopefully, the subfreezing temperatures are in the past and we will be seeing more blooms in the near future! Have a great start to the week and see you back here tomorrow for an all new recipe post.

  1. I love this denim color, Rachel! I’m just realizing that my denim is so boring – just your normal dark color. I really need to start adding a few pops of color for spring/summer. I love this perfect backdrop too! Hope you had a great weekend! -xo

  2. I love the detailing on this blouse! You’re so right that it can pair so well with multiple bottoms. And this winter really has been so crazy, hopefully it’s spring soon in DC, especially so the cherry blossoms can get into full bloom!
