My Favorite Scents for Spring

women's spring perfume review

Besides spring fashion, one of the things I look forward to most about the new season are fresh scents. I love anything with a rose scent and although I use rose-scented products year round, it becomes more acceptable in the spring. It’s hard to beat the smell of fresh flowers, especially roses in my case. Fresh flowers are the quintessential spring scent and an indication that the warmer temperatures are near. With the start of March last week, I am completely on the fresh spring scents train. Today, I am highlighting two of my favorite fragrances for spring along with two rose-scented beauty products I have been using daily (regardless of the season).

Creed’s Spring Flower Perfume

To be honest with you, I haven’t always been a perfume junkie. When I was younger, I had one perfume that I wore everyday through spring, summer, fall and winter. However, Richard has a massive cologne obsession — I can’t even begin to tell you how many bottles he owns! After almost 7 years of marriage, I guess he has started rubbing off on me: I now own three perfume bottles! I have one scent that I stick to in the fall and winter (you can shop that here, it’s amazing!) and two for spring: Creed’s Spring Flower and Bond No.9’s Madison Square Park.

I was never one to buy expensive perfume either. But, Richard bought me Spring Flower a few years ago for Valentine’s Day and I fell in love with the scent. With notes of rose, jasmine, bergamot and peach to name a few, this is the definition of a feminine scent. The fragrance was made for Audrey Hepburn and meant to reflect the glamour of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Spring Flower is my go-to spring scent and what I wear most during the warmer months. You can’t beat it’s pretty pink bottle, either.

There is no denying that Creed fragrances are pricey. However, I only use about two sprays per day because of it’s long lasting powers. I will put the perfume on early before going to work and amazingly enough, it smells exactly the same by the time I get home! And since I am only using this bottle during the spring and summer, it lasts a pretty long time. It’s easier to justify the price when it lasts all day and a little goes a long way. I’ve had this bottle for 2 years!

Bond No. 9 Madison Square Park

My second favorite spring scent goes to Bond No. 9’s Madison Square Park. I have also had this perfume for a few years and I typically wear this on days I am not wearing Spring Flower. If you are not familiar with Bond No. 9, each fragrance is named for a different area of New York City (hence the name of this one, Madison Square Park). Each bottle is more colorful than the next with fun embellishments to match the fragrance’s personality. With a blend of romantic florals, including grape hyacinth, huckleberry and red leaf rose, Madison Square Park is the perfect spring scent.

As Bond describes it, Madison Square Park was the height of fashion in the Gilded Age and today it’s back to being a hip and cool area of the city. I think the fragrance does a good job of characterizing these traits, especially with it’s brightly colored packaging. Another perfume that’s on the pricier side, this too has similar “long lasting powers” like Spring Flower. To directly compare the two, I feel like Spring Flower does last slightly longer than Madison Square Park; however, this is a vibrant and strong scent that works well in the warmer months.

Fresh Rose Floral Toner

I have been in the market for a toner for years. And when I say years, I am not even exaggerating! I don’t think I have ever had a toner I have loved and have became accustomed to skipping that process in my skincare and beauty routine. I have heard great things about Fresh’s products and have even tried this mask my mom uses and love it. But, to be completely honest, I was first attracted to this toner because of it’s rose scent. Much to my surprise, I not only love the scent but also the hydrating properties of this toner.

As I have mentioned here before, I have super dry skin. Even after exfoliating, moisturizing and applying facial oil, my skin is still dry (especially my cheeks). I decided to look for some new products to work on hydration and came across this rose floral toner and rose hibiscus hydrating face mist (below). Since I started incorporating these new products into my routine, I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. And it hasn’t even been that long! I will be sharing an updated skincare routine post in the coming weeks, but this rose floral toner is one of my favorite steps in my new routine. I apply this after washing my face and before my moisturizer/face oil. If you are looking for a toner that not only hydrates your skin but also works well with sensitive skin, I would highly recommend this rose toner!

Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist

Last, but certainly not least, the rose hibiscus hydrating face mist. Of all the new items in my beauty routine, I was probably most skeptical of this one. Having heard amazing things about this product, I still wasn’t sure of all the hype. I mean, it’s a coconut water face mist! I figured I needed the most hydration I could get, so I bought the smallest bottle and waited anxiously for it to arrive in the mail.

Now, I’m kicking myself for not ordering the larger size! I spray two sprays on my face after my moisturizer/face oil and eye cream and before I add foundation (if I am wearing any). It’s hard to say if the toner or the spray or a combination of the two has helped with my dry skin, but I am a firm believer in this hydrating face mist. If nothing else, it gives your skin a cool, hydrating feeling that will be especially helpful in the summer. And the smell! If you are a fan of rose scented anything, you will absolutely love this!

Rose Scented Beauty Products

I’ve included a few more of my favorite rose scented beauty products below. My all time favorite candle (I first mentioned my love for the candle in this post) features notes of roses and blackcurrant leaves. It was a candle for our master bathroom, then our master bedroom and now it’s become the candle we use in our living room! Check out the rest of the rose scented beauty products below:

  1. I’ve definitely become kore if a perfume junky over the past few years, and I’m totally going to blame my husband too! He loves cologne! I’ve actually had to make myself stop buying perfume because I have too many bottles, but I don’t have a rose scented one, and that would be a good add to my collection!

  2. oooh those Rose products sound great. Have wonderful weekend, hope you get some sunshine!

  3. I LOVE the bottles! Wow, so pretty for your bathroom counter in spring/summer. I need to get better about wearing perfume. I have so many, and yet always forget to put one one each morning. You’ve now inspired me! 🙂 Have a great weekend!
