Happy Wednesday, friends! With temperatures still in the 90s this week here in D.C., it’s hard to even fathom fall. But after receiving such great feedback from this spring capsule wardrobe post and this 12 outfits in a carry-on, I thought it was time to take a look at a capsule wardrobe for the fall season. With just 16 pieces, including 4 accessories, you can easily put together 20+ cute outfits for the fall season!

Fall Capsule Wardrobe: 16 Key Pieces, 20+ Outfits

Mixing and matching pieces has always been one of my favorite ways to get more out of my wardrobe. Especially now with all the new home purchases, I am remixing a lot of my fall pieces! Although there are more than 20 outfits you can create from these 16 key pieces, here are some options:

STRIPE TEE

A stripe tee is one of my most versatile pieces in my closet. And it works for year round! Style it casually with a pair of jeans, add a blazer for cooler temperatures or dress it up with black pants and leopard mules for a cute wear to work outfit. I own a few stripe t-shirts, but my favorite one is similar to the one pictured here. It’s a little oversized, making it easy to front tuck into jeans or black pants.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS

No matter what season, a little black dress is a closet essential. Pair it with heels and a tote for your 9 to 5 workday and add this camel sweater jacket for the cooler temperatures. Style this LBD more casually by pairing a chambray shirt over the dress and complete the look with leopard mules. You can’t beat this versatile number!
