If you are anything like me, you cannot WAIT for hair salons to reopen. But until they do, I have been trying just about everything to hide the fact that I need highlights! Thankfully, my highlights aren’t that much lighter than my natural color, but it’s still enough to drive me crazy. Everyone is in this same boat, so I wanted to share some hair accessories during quarantine that can help hide the fact that you are in desperate need for a salon day!

Hair Accessories During Quarantine

I have always been a fan of headbands, and I have shared my love for this hair accessory on ABM before (see this post). I’m so thankful that headbands are back and trending: not only is it one of my favorite accessories, but it is also great for covering your roots! And now that we are seeing more spring and summer styles, there are so many pretty prints that will instantly brighten your outfit. This bright floral headband and blue tie dye headband are perfectly on trend and I love the texture of this blush beaded headband.

Wearing a scarf as a headband is one of my new favorite ways to experiment with this hair trend. While this blue and yellow scarf headband and this floral scarf headband are actually made for your hair, you could easily fold a scarf you already have in your collection to make it a headband. Great coverage and perfectly on trend.

Lastly, if you are trying to cover up your roots completely, there are plenty of cute spring and summer hats available. While I always love the classic panama hat, I’ve been wearing a lot of baseball caps when I go to the grocery store or take Ella for a walk. This dog mom hat is the cutest and available in several colors!
