Happy Thursday, friends! If you follow along on Instagram, you might have seen a sneak peek of this outfit. I wore this look to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Fall Wine Festival last Saturday and it was the perfect fall look for an evening wine tasting. So many highlights in this outfit, where do we start?! First up, this must-have cozy sweater for fall.

Must-Have Cozy Sweater

I originally spotted this turtleneck sweater online and couldn’t believe how soft and cozy it looked. Available in 15 colors (I am wearing the “natural” color) and now priced under $30, it seemed too good to be true! The sweater lived up to it’s expectations. Soft, comfortable and cozy, this sweater feels like you are wearing a blanket. It was chilly Saturday evening for the wine tasting and this sweater was the perfect choice. I also have it in another color, so you will probably be seeing it again soon!

As for sizing, I am wearing a medium (my usual size) and I’m happy with the fit. It’s pretty oversized, which I love, and long enough to wear with leggings. I would say that if I wanted to wear the sweater strictly with jeans, I might have gone down to a size small. It is difficult for me to find sweaters that are long enough to wear with leggings, so I was delightfully surprised with this one. I’m 5’8 for reference.

Snakeskin Ankle Boots

Animal print, including snakeskin, is everywhere this fall. I picked up these ankle boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have been dying to wear them. Now that the temperatures have officially cooled down, they were the first shoes I reached for this past weekend. These boots are super comfortable and run true to size. The heel is on the higher side, but the block heel makes it manageable. I love them paired with leggings like I did here, but I also wore them to work on Monday with cropped black jeans. I doubt they will last for long, so scoop them up if you have had your eye on snakeskin boots this fall!
