How to Create a Fall Cheese Board

How to Create a Fall Cheese Board

One of my favorite appetizers to make when we have company over is a cheese board. It’s easy to throw together, delicious, and can really be customized to you and your company’s preferences. With the change of seasons, I thought it would be fun to make a cheese board that included some fall flavors. Here is how to create a fall cheese board:

How to Create a Fall Cheese Board

As I mentioned, creating a cheese board is one of my favorite appetizers because it’s so easy to customize. These cheese board ingredients are some of our favorites so that is why they are included in this post. But feel free to add, subtract or multiply any of these ingredients.

When outlining the ingredients in a cheese board, I typically like to stick to this formula:

Three kinds of cheese (two hard and one soft)

Two types of crackers

Two types of meat

Two other ingredients (like nuts or fruit)

For this particular cheese board, the three cheeses I used were white cheddar, gouda, and goat cheese. I sometimes include blue cheese in the board, but usually people have strong opinions about this type of cheese. Including Richard! I usually will leave it out if I’m unsure about our guest’s preferences.

The two crackers I used were pita bite crackers and Brioche toasted crackers. As for meat, I went with pepperoni and prosciutto. I’m not a big meat person, but those are two of Richard’s favorite. Last, but not least, for my other ingredients, I found these pumpkin spice pumpkin seeds that are delicious! (You can see an entire Trader Joe’s fall round-up here.) They are not super strong on the pumpkin spice and are a fun spin on the traditional cheese board nut. Lastly, I also added figs to the cheese board. They complimented the rest of the ingredients nicely.

For a little decoration, I add these cute little orange and white pumpkins. Trader Joe’s has a huge selection of little pumpkins this season! It’s a festive way to make your cheese plate fall-ready.

Thanks for stopping by, friends! My apologies for being absent yesterday. We were out of town over the weekend and got home late Sunday evening and I didn’t have time to edit the photographs! I will be back tomorrow with an all new Wednesday Wishes and a new outfit post on Thursday! Have a great Tuesday, friends!
