Olive Green Dress

As far as I am concerned, an olive green dress is a closet staple for the fall. I do not discriminate when it comes to dresses. I’ll take a dress any season! But there is something about fall dresses that has me especially excited this year. A fall dress in a quintessential fall color, I am sold.

Olive Green Dress

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon this dress and instantly fell in love with the color and length. Since fall dresses are some of my favorites, I knew that it would be a versatile piece for the season. Although I went with a more edgy look for my second day of NYFW, this dress could easily be worn with heels to work. Versatile pieces are becoming more and more apparent in my closet. Not only is a dress that can be worn for both work and weekend practical, it is cost effective, too.

As for sizing of this dress, the online recommendation suggested that the dress ran small. I decided to be safe since I wasn’t familiar with the brand and size up. With the elastic around the waist, the dress was pretty big. I added a leopard belt to not only draw the waist in but also as an accessory. Overall, I probably could have gone with my regular size.

Edgy Accessoires

Two of my favorite accessories that I took to New York completed the look. The mornings and evenings were pretty cool in the city so my go-to faux leather jacket was the perfect choice. The open toe ankle booties also paired well with this midi dress. These booties are an ideal early fall shoe!

  2. I love these two colors paired together. Very NYFW! The block heel on those bboties are so cute too. For me they would make it so much easier to walk (skinny heels are not my friend!) Hope you had a great weekend, Rachel!
