Easy Cheeseburger Kabobs

easy cheeseburger kabobs

It’s hard to believe the Fourth of July is just around the corner. Wasn’t it just Memorial Day? Regardless, it’s time to take advantage of all the BBQ dishes! I always love to share recipes with a different spin, so when I was coming up with ideas for recipes, I wanted to try a spin on the traditional summer dish, cheeseburgers. I’ve shared several versions of veggie burgers, but since the Fourth of July is the perfect time for get-togethers, you might be looking for bite-sized dishes to serve your guests. A deconstructed burger, these cheeseburger kabobs are the perfect food to serve at your Fourth of July party or any summer party!

Easy Cheeseburger Kabobs

I always love bite-sized dishes. I’ve shared a couple bite-sized recipes in the past (a previous favorite here) but these burgers are the new favorite. Not only are these cheeseburger kabobs easy to make and assemble, but quite tasty, too! While burgers are usually better on the grill, I did cook these mini burgers on a skillet inside. I was afraid they were too small and would fall into the grill! For toppings, I went with a few of my favorite including cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles. However, you can customize the kabobs with whichever toppings you prefer. I served these with a side of ketchup, but they would also be delicious with mustard or any other condiments you like.

Personally, I think these bite-sized, cheeseburger kabobs are a great size and so much easier to eat than the traditional burger. I am always cutting the burger in half or eating the burger with a fork, so this kabob version is much more manageable. Check out the easy recipe below!

Easy Cheeseburger Kabobs
Instructions
  1. Divide the ground beef into 16 mini burgers (almost the size of meatballs, but flatter). Spray a skillet with cooking spray and place the mini burgers in the skillet. Cook over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on how you like your burgers cooked. Once the burgers are brown on each side, place a slice of cheese on each burger. Lower the heat to low and place a lid on the skillet to cook the inside of the burger. Allow the burgers to cool before assembling. To assemble the kabobs: start with the mini cheeseburgers followed by the lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Serve with ketchup or any other of your favorite burger toppings.
