Save: wide leg denim | pearl sandals | bamboo bag | belt | cork sandals

One of the most popular series on ABM is back! It has been awhile since I have shared a new splurge vs. save, but with a new season, I thought it would be fun to dedicate this week’s Wednesday Wishes to splurge vs. save: spring trends!

Splurge vs. Save: Spring Trends

I always enjoy putting together these splurge vs. save collages. However, I seem to obsess about finding a near clone for each piece, I drive myself crazy! Although there are not as many products in this week’s collage, I was pleased with the likeness of today’s dupes. Here are some of spring’s hottest trends, at splurge and save price points:

Wide Leg Denim

I have been loving the wide leg pant trend this spring and I think adding a denim pair to your closet would be the perfect addition. Denim is so easy to wear, it’s a great opportunity to try out the trend. I originally saw these splurge jeans and fell in love. Not only with the wide leg style, but also the lighter wash. After much searching I stumbled upon these save jeans for a fraction of the price. Similar wash and style, I’m sold on the save version!

Pearl Sandals

Pearl sandals were all the rage last spring and summer and I was so disappointed that I wasn’t able to snag a pair before selling out. I have been lusting over these splurge sandals for awhile, but with their nearly $800 price tag, the lusting will have to continue. When my mom spotted these save pearl sandals for only $23, we both got a pair! A fun sandal to wear in the spring and summer, these pearl sandals are the epitome of splurge vs. save! FYI, they run true to size.

Bamboo Bag

Last year, it was the ark bag and this year it’s the circle bag. If you are active on social media, I’m sure you have seen this splurge bag at least once or twice. I loved last year’s version (here) but couldn’t justify the price tag for a “fun bag”. I shared a save version (still available here) in this post and I am still happy with it! Since circle bags are super trendy this season, it’s no wonder this splurge bamboo bag hit the market this spring. Priced over $200, this bag may be a little expensive for a novelty spring or summer bag. If you are looking to embrace the circle bamboo bag trend for less, this save version is priced at only $34!

Belt

Oh, the Gucci belt. Another item I have been lusting over for years. As much as I love this belt, I could never justify paying over $400 for a belt. A BELT! So when I discovered this save version for $20, I couldn’t wait to share it with you. Most of the pieces in today’s collage are strictly spring or summer, but if you were looking for a reason to justify the purchase of this designer belt, at least you can wear it year round! Right?! As far as the save belt goes, I need to look more into the sizing but I love the price tag. I would wear the belt with high-waisted jeans and a cute tucked in top. A belt is a fun accessory to dress up an otherwise simple look, regardless of the season.

Cork Sandals

Cork sandals are a great spring and summer neutral shoe. A different take on your typical beige sandal, I love the texture the cork adds to the shoe. I have a few pairs of this style of shoe. It’s my go-to during the warmer months. But I love that this style has a thicker heel. It makes such a difference in the comfort level of a shoe! Although the save sandal is on the higher end of a shoe budget, it’s a much better deal than the $400 splurge version! And they are almost identical!

Have a great Wednesday, friends! I am off to Dallas and Austin today for a wedding! If you have any musts (restaurants, sights, or shopping) send them my way!
