Fall Trends Under $100

The last couple weeks, I’ve been reviewing a few of my favorite trends for the upcoming season. From colors to prints, there is a lot to look forward to this fall. Today, I am highlighting four of fall’s biggest trends and sharing some outfit inspiration that is all under $100. From the color red to plaid to prairie dress and animal print, here are the best fall trends under $100.

Fall Trends: Red

Color trends are one of my favorite ways to dress for a new season, and this shade is no exception. A few weeks ago, I shared another color trend (see it here) that works well for wearing now and later. And while red can be a color for all seasons, this rich shade is perfect for the fall months. Of all the red pieces I’ve seen, this red colorblock sweater is one of my favorites. It captures a few shades of the season and I love the colorblocking trend.

Fall Trends: Mad for Plaid

My love for plaid goes back quite a few years. But in the past, my plaid obsession is usually limited to coats and jackets. This fall the plaid trend is expanding to just about every piece of clothing, and even accessories! The plaid dress and pants are two great wear to work pieces for fall — I love the twist front detail on this shirtdress! If you are looking to jump on the bold color trend for fall, this skirt is perfect! While we typically see plaid in darker shades, these bright colors add a fun element to this plaid skirt. This print is also available in a top that could be worn with the skirt for a complete set.

Fall Trends: Prairie Dresses

This is one trend that might not be for everyone. And truthfully, a trend that I don’t know if I would have embraced even last year! So what is the prairie dress trend? Vintage style dresses, typically with a higher neckline (except for this smocked version) and complete with ruffle and floral details. When prairie dresses come to mind, I usually think of long maxi dresses with no shape, but these three options have a shorter length and seem a little more modern. My favorite of the bunch is this floral number with the high neckline.

Fall Trends: Animal Print

Just another opportunity to share animal print inspiration! If you have been following along for awhile, you know my love for animal print, specifically leopard, no matter what season. But I am so glad animal print is trending this fall! (See last week’s fall trend inspiration featuring magenta and leopard here.) From accessories to tops and dresses, it will be easy to wear the trend this fall. This leopard shirt could be styled with black pants or a skirt for work, or paired with jeans and flats for a more casual look. And while I have SO many leopard shoes, these slingbacks might need to be added to my closet too. You can’t beat the under $50 price tag!

….

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and weekend! Packing is in full swing in the McCarthy household with more continuing this weekend. Between getting our current house ready to sell and packed up to preparing for the new house and looking for furniture, the next few weeks are going to be non-stop! You may have noticed that I have posted just three times the past two weeks, and that will probably continue through the move. But hopefully, the first of October we will be in the new house and four posts per week will resume! Thanks for sticking with me during this crazy time. See you back here on Monday, friends!
