The new year brings a fresh start and for many people, a new year means New Year’s resolutions that include healthy eating. Although I have several favorite healthy recipes, today I am rounding up a few of my favorites. Here are the best healthy recipes for the new year:
My Go-To Berry Protein Smoothie
This smoothie is one of my favorite breakfast and/or lunch recipes! It’s easy to customize with your favorite fruit, but the protein base is a staple. It keeps you full throughout the day and doesn’t have a gross protein powder taste!
Zoodle Mac and Cheese
This Zoodle Mac and Cheese recipe is the most pinned recipe from ABM! So thank you if you have shared it on your Pinterest page haha! It’s not secret I love mac and cheese. I would eat it every day of the week if I could! And with this healthier version, you could without feeling too guilty.
Kale Caesar Salad
A spin on a favorite salad from sweetgreen, this Kale Caesar Salad replaces the Romaine lettuce with Kale and breadcrumbs with crispy chickpeas. It’s a great lunch recipe!
Avocado Caprese Chicken
I’m not a huge fan of chicken, however this Avocado Caprese Chicken is a favorite. The flavor is delicious and the addition of the tomatoes and avocado doesn’t hurt!
Italian Chicken Sausage Sheet Pan Dinner
I love sheet pan dinners. Not only are they delicious, but they are easy to throw together and even easier to clean up. That’s a win-win! Of all the sheet pan dinners I make, this is by far our favorite. If you are looking to splurge, you can easily swap the rice for pasta, too.
Quinoa Pizza Crust
As I have shared many times, Friday nights are pizza nights in the McCarthy house. If you are looking to enjoy pizza, but with a healthier pizza crust, this quinoa pizza crust is a great replacement! I went with my go-to Margherita Pizza, but you could easily use any pizza toppings you prefer.
….
What healthy recipes are you making for the new year? Thanks for stopping by, friends! Have a great weekend and see you back here on Monday.
