A trench coat is one of my favorite spring layers. Much like the cardigan I shared in Thursday’s post and the utility jacket from two weeks ago, the trench is the third most popular spring layer in my closet. When I spotted this dusty blue trench coat in cabi’s spring collection, I knew it was a must-have for me.
Dusty Blue Trench
I have a lot of jackets and coats in my closet. It’s easy to blame it on my former coat buyer mom, it’s in my genes! But in reality, I love coats and jackets just as much (or more?) than shoes! And although I have quite a few, this dusty blue trench was one I could not pass on. With all the elements of a classic trench, this linen blend jacket makes for a great spring layer. It’s difficult to pick a favorite when it comes to the details, but I love the faux oversized pockets. But fear not my fellow pocket lovers! There are side-entry pockets that make this trench cute and functional. And since this dusty blue shade is such a hot color for spring, this trench really gives your the perfect spring layer all in one!
Te Amo Blouse
Navy and white is such a great color combination for the spring. It’s very nautical and great if you are sticking to more neutrals in your wardrobe. I was obviously first attracted to this blouse because of the color combination, but also fell in “love” with the style. These longer, almost tunic-like blouses are my go-to in the spring not only for casual but also for work. And speaking of “love”, you can see from the close-up, the print is “love” written in many languages. Fittingly, this blouse is the Heart of cabi piece, where a portion of the proceeds from this blouse are donated to the Heart of cabi foundation. I learned all about the Heart of cabi when I visited the cabi’s offices last spring. The Heart of cabi strives to help women around the world including by providing clothing to areas affected by natural disasters and an entrepreneurship program. My Favorite Jeans & Accessories
It is like deja vu around here with these jeans! I talked about the green pair from last fall in Monday’s post and the grey pair from last spring in Thursday’s post and here we are today with the white! I wasn’t kidding when I said I wore them all the time! Naturally, I am thrilled that cabi designed a white version of this jean for spring. I am always in need of white jeans and to find them in a style I already love is amazing. These are the regular Zip Skinny, but if you like jeans with a slightly higher rise, the Zip Curvy Skinny is also available. And since one of the most important questions when buying white jeans is “are they see-through?”…these jeans are not! Another win in my book.
As for accessories, I went with navy espadrilles and my navy monogrammed clutch. You can’t beat the comfort level with these wedges and who doesn’t like a monogram?
